Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Life after Sky...?

Hi all, hopefully this will be the right forum to ask this but I've had Sky TV for about ten years, multi room (x3) and Sky Sports, we're happy enough with the service but I'm fed up with the cost of €127 a month for it so I've decided to bin it.
I rang sky to see if they had any offers of a price reduction to entice me to stay but they were offering feck all so I gave them 30 days notice to cancel.

I was wondering if anyone could advise me what the best option is to replace Sky with similar level of service (multi room x3 and Sports package to watch the Rugby and EPL mostly).

I believe my choices are VirginMedia, Eir, and Vodafone, I already have my Broadband with VirginMedia (240mb package though typically about half that). Most of these providers include TV and BB, am I better off keeping them separate or should I try and get the lot in one package...?

Any other suggestions or things to be considered...?

Thanks for all the suggestions...

For info, while I was shopping around looking for something to replace Sky with I had an email asking me to reconsider, I didn't do anything about it but I was struggling to find a package as good as what I had that much cheaper. Yesterday they sent me an email offering me a 35% discount on a Sky package if I stayed.
I called them up and after a bit of haggling they offered to drop the price of my package to €82 if I signed up for another 12 months so I went for that....

I decided to stick with Sky in the end.

    From €127 down to €82 ......... quite a drop.

I guess it is an indication of how much of a rip-off the Sky standard prices are.
