Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It appears that planning permission has gone ahead for this. Does anyone know the timelines involved?

When does work begin and when is it scheduled to complete?

Living in the immediate area and considering a move elsewhere if it's a lengthy process

I have a feeling it won't be lengthy. Lidl will be keen to get it done as quickly as they can and I imagine they're quite efficient.

yeah I'd expect it to be a quick process too - their stores are fairly simple design (even if the new one is an upgrade on the existing one). I'd imagine you'll be more disrupted by all the houses being built across the road.

The demolition of Drogheda store started two weeks ago and is scheduled to be finished by July. The are working 7 days a week on it but the work area is very tidy and local disruption is minimal.

Is the store closed down completely for the re-build?

And the total demolition of the store? Yes, they had to close for that.

The rebuild in Gorey took about 6 months (late March 2015, reopened 1st of October) and with only very minimal disruption.

    The new store is brilliant.
