Like the title says I am looking for exercise classes in Kildare - I live in Kilmeague so Newbridge, Naas, would be ideal.
I am not used to exercise at all so if anybody has ideas for what would be best for a total beginner (over 40) I would be delighted for advice.

Have a look at the osprey in naas, they've recently done up the gym do a host of different exercise classes per week,

I would be biased towards it as I'm a member myself (don't go to the classes, but use the equipment and pool)

that's their current timetable at the moment,

    hope it helps, Rob

No problem. Also there are others like Killashee in Naas. Keadeen and gables in Newbridge. These all have pools also.

Ease of travel would suggest Kildare Town or Newbridge as best options.

We recently moved to kildare and my wife joined First step fitness in Kildare Town and she loves it - I think it may be more to do with some ex army guy running the classes than anything else. :)

She'd be similar 40+, & not big into fitness, but loves this place.

She also looked at Keadeen Hotel and liked that as it also had a pool, but found it was less personal.

I think there is a gym/classes run out of Ballyteague GFA club. As far as i know you don't have to be a GAA member to join the classes and its pay as you go. But I'd suggest you check the details because I'm not certain!

Start Fitness Kildare. Classes by Kieran Lambe, €5 pay as you go, fight club. includes boxercise/circuits. in the Gym hall of the Gael Scoil on the Green Road in Newbridge. 7pm-8pm Tuesday and Thursday. I've been going for years now, love it!
