Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Change of use for garage/workshop

I'm looking at using a garage in Dublin previously listed as residential for a commercial use. I'm not planning any major works to the building (except some internal stud walls). It's about 45m2 on a laneway where there are other commercial units.

I'd appreciate any advice on the following:

    – do I need to go through the "change of use" planning permission route?
    – it's Zone 2 (residential) so would that stand against any application?
    – is it OK to start using it commercially while we wait for the outcome?

    Thanks very much.

    Planning required.
Zoning may or may not help depending on the nature of the business.
Start using it now - Absolute no! You still need a fire safety Cert and Disability access cert.

Depends in the nature of the business I would suggest on residential zoning like would there be much noise, would there be much traffic in and out, customers and business and can the site facilitate this, i.e. nature of the business.
