First of all sorry for my poor english.

I studied for a short time in Irland and opened an account at the bank. The address was the address of University.

The problem is that I don't know do the account still exist after 30 years?

And if yes could it be that there were booked fees on it year by year that i will have to pay a big amount if I would reanimate the account?

    Hi Fredtheone,

Thanks for getting in touch with us here on Boards today.

It's possible the account is now dormant (after 15 years with no transactions) or closed. To check this please contact the account holding Branch and an Advisor will look into this for you. They can check if it's possible to reinstate account or if it's best to open a new account.

Contact details for our Branches can be found here

    Many Thanks
    Alison

    Hi Alison,
Thank you for your fast reply.
What do you think about fees of account management?
Is there a risk to get charged for over 30 years? And how much could it be?
    Regards
    Fred

Hi Fredtheone, as mentioned if an account has had no transactions for 15 years it will become dormant.

We would contact you to notify you of this at the time, but if you want to check the status of an account it would be best to get in touch with the branch where you opened the account.

    Thanks
    Nicola
