    Avoid Willow Park for starters.

Thanks. I'll have a look at Woodville. It doesn't really matter the distance from town.

Going to have a look at some on the Roscommon side also

I live in Woodville it's a nice estate. Lots of families and never any trouble where I am anyway. Houses generally don't stay up for sale for long though.

Woodville is lovely, lots of nice estates on the Monksland side to. Sli an Choiste is a lovely estate, lots of greenery and not as overlooked.

    Yes, a 4 bed semi for 60K.

But there is a reason they are cheap. It's a kip.

So long as you get away from Connacht Street to Battery Heights area, you are grand. Monksland is lovely, it is were many of the fine Athlone families of Willow Park area migrated to when they had money.

The Westmeath side on the way down to Sean Costello Street, sadly, has become a right hole.
