Is there much difference between the residences at UCC for an incoming First Year with no knowledge of Cork? There doesn't seem to be a huge price difference so which should be selected as first preference , second preference etc. TIA and any information greatly appreciated.

All seem fairly standard, with more due to come on line in the next while. Brookfield, Castlewhite are good but slightly older. Vic Mills is more modern. You can always try one for first year and having spent year 1 in UCC, you'll have found new friends, have probably visited all of the above and will decide what you like for 2nd year and beyond. I've heard varying opinions on all of the above, with some citing each one as their personal favourite.
