Last night official start time was 9.15 but was after 9.20 when they came on and ended bang on 11.

Id imagine curfew is 10.30. isn't it normally about that for these gigs

Does anyone know how many tickets were sold for this? Or what the capacity is for events in Malahide Castle?

Just across from the DART station, as far as I'm aware.

hop on a train over to Pearse and get on a Malahide train from there.
At least you're guaranteed to get on.

    That's if you have time.

Very disappointed with how long they played, they only played for 1 hour and 35 minutes and the encore was just one song :(

Who promoted this gig? Insane to have it on same night as Aerosmith. Lots of nerdz like myself would go to both.

Hope it was good, their new material is cracking.

didn't play a lot of songs that I like
    very short encore
    support band weren't great

dart was rammed back into town
luckily we were going the other way to Donabate!!

Still though, not a bad gig
    a very 'after work' crowd

Yup. Loads of people talking as well like they were on a night out at the pub. Whatever. Spend 65€ and ruin if for those around you.
1hr 35min for 65€ was not worth it.

    - Good Show. I wanted more songs though.
    - Support band... what the f...heck?
    - Loads of people (even though got beer spilled on my back)
    - Am I the only one that noticed sound problems near the middle/end of the show? I mean, they sounded fab at the beginning... but something happened there, could not hear the Violin properly and there was a small delay... maybe it was me!
    - If there are fences, please don't be an asshole and jump over them. I hope you slip and fall next time.
    - Annoying people in the DART/Bus. Couldn't even use headphones to stop that.

That's poor form, considering their back catalog.

Malahide Castle is a fantastic venue. The beauty of Slane without the hassle.
However, the the amount of people there with little or no interest in the actual music was very disappointing. I was surrounded by groups of people weighed down with those 4 pint carrier packs of beer, chatting and taking group selfies for the entire gig. I moved several times but there was no getting away from it.
Hugely distracting for those of us there solely for the music.

    Well said.

Welcome to the now typical Irish gig-goer in 2017.

I just don't understand spending so much money to stand in a field and drink beer with your mates.

It's always about the concert, the music, the show for me.
    God I sound old.

Pretty much every gig is like this now.
