Unusual experience today. A woman who works close to the apartment block where I live knocked on the door looking to see if any properties where available to rent. She was from Poland and looked close to retirement age. Her English wasn't so good but it turned out her current landlord is selling the block where she lives and she has 6 weeks to fond somewhere else. I told her I'd ask around where I lived but privately I was sure there wasn't any available. I felt sorry for her to be honest.

Would anyone know of resources for rentals around the D1/D2 area ? I think a one bed or studio would suit, am sure she lives alone. I got the impression she wouldn't be for able for Daft and internet searching, and would prefer a bricks and mortar agency. Cheers

Bricks and mortar rental agencies only exist for the wealthy these days. Sounds like she needs someone to help her with the online search. The likes of Age Action have volunteers to help older people with things like this.
