How much customs can I expect to pay on this?

I've been using lenovo phones for 2 years now. I get them free due to working on them so tend to use the top of the line ones and i find them seriously good. The software can be ropey but I get prerelease software so that's to be expected. Haven't had one yet that the battery has got knackered in though.

I paid 172 EUR for the phone on Banggoog. Customs charges and handling came to 47eur.

Loving the phone so far. Have not changed the ROM yet and its fine but I hope to update it once i get the time.

Checking out the prices on various websites and banggood with the 10% off brings it down to E151.
Dx.com have it for 164 with customs/vat insurance for an extra 1.88.

Any know what the better option is?

Definitely DX.com- if its 164 + 1.88 incl. of customs and vat........

Are you saying that because the majority of phones are being caught for customs/vat?

You'll still have to pay the customs/vat with DX but they'll refund you up to $40 of the cost if you take the insurance out.

Has anyone ordered via parcel motel? I saw on another thread that someone ordered an item from China and it got here a lot sooner because they used parcel motel or addresspal. Apparently its a lot quicker to deliver to the UK, for some reason.

I might chance it.
Would parcel motel be the ones charging me for customs in that case?

Parcel motel might just turn away the parcel if there's customs due on it. Not worth the hassle.

That probably came in under the 150 Euro threshold- aka you paid VAT but no custom's duty. Some of us managed to get the Zuk2 at under this price (depending on which vouchers/coupons we could get to work)- however, the majority appear to be over the threshold. The poster can confirm what they paid- I imagine you're looking at in the region of 200........

With respect of the Zuk- anyone any idea how to add the home/recent/back buttons to the bottom of the screen?

Mine is on 35% having been off charge since about 6.30am today, but yesterday it ran out before i got to bed (admittedly with relatively heavy use)

I dont use mobile data at all though and screen brightness is set very low (i'm indoors mostly), wifi on 24/7, moderate browsing using firefox

I charged Saturday night and have done about 2+ hours of browsing since and im still on ~65% battery. its the best phone I've ever had for battery.

I'm tempted to just sell on mine if anyone's interested. Received it Tuesday and all I have done is open the box and peel off the plastic covers. Powered it on but haven't even put in a sim. I bought it in a bit of a panic when my Smart Ultra died. The battery was all swollen up under the case but Vodafone took it back and even replaced the screen which had a year old crack all for free.

I'll let it go for €175 and I'll pay postage if anyone wants it.

Issues in Sligo (Tubercurry area) on Vodafone (which to be fair to them- I can't get any signal at all on other networks- its just a Motorola G4 has full signal strength in the area- versus a single bar at best on the Zuk 2).

I'll do a factory reset of the phone- I didn't root it or do anything too unusual with it.

I.e. no band 20 - its the only reason I'm selling it (particularly given its remarkable battery life).

The battery life is really only average on mine tbh (4h40 average screen on time) - any settings or anything to change to improve this? I'm on Stock Indian ROM.

Also notice that phone radio is using a lot of power (21%) - but I'm in the city centre with full signal almost all the time - can this be improved?

2-3 weeks- only put a SIM in it briefly when visiting Dad in Sligo to test reception- but went back to my Motorola G4 Plus.

Does this phone work on the 3 network? Living in Dublin so coverage shouldn't be an issue. Also, is the battery generally performing well with most people? I see some saying its brilliant and some saying its not great.

Also, do the majority have the Z2 or the Z2 Pro?

The majority have the Z2 - this can be got for little over 150 so is a great deal, the Z2 Pro is a slightly better spec but it costs around double in most places

This is a absolute beast of a phone for that money!

Edit: GsmArena says it has "Fast battery charging: 83% in 30 min (Quick Charge 3.0)" but it doesnt say that on BangGood? Anyone have it to clarify?

You'd need a Quick Charge charger anyway, certainly doesn't come with one. I really don't find the battery all that great though
