    Is next week for those wondering. Joe.ie were promoting Mayo Monday today to go along with Donegal Tuesday.

    Mayo Monday? Ah here, our largest ethnic minority in the city always knew better than to sh!t on their doorstep. Get hooped but don't give away that you're a Shrule-ite, a Westportian or Foxford-ish.

    RAG week, just like the yearly thread were a lot better a good few years ago.

    RAG week stopped being fun when Galway's became too good and too popular, thus bringing in bus loads of external people just here to go mad for a day or two. That's when the bag stuff started happening and it rapidly went downhill to what it is today. A pale, messier, shadow of what it used to be.

    I'll stick with my good memories of mine thank you very much.

    I'd imagine it's some "enterprising" local publican who decided to promote this "event".
