Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Wenger says he will field an experienced team tonight but the following haven't travelled:

Laurent Koscielny, Aaron Ramsey, Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez, Granit Xhaka, Alexandre Lacazette, Sead Kolasinac, Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal.

    Plus injury list of:

Alex Iwobi, Santi Cazorla, Francis Coquelin, Calum Chambers and Danny Welbeck have further limited his options.

At least Giroud will get a start but watching Walcott has become painful

I'd imagine it'll be the following...

Ospina, Chambers, Holding, Mertesacker, Elneny, Wilshere, Walcott, Giroud

Plus three Academy players, most likely Maitland-Niles, Nelson and A.N. Other to start.

He may play Mustafi which would leave only two academy spots but I don't really see the point.

Good call leaving those lads at home.

Delighted Wenger is going over with some of the younger players. We've got two or three absolutely class looking young fellas that just need 60/70 mins of a real match. I have somewhat of an interest in the game now, I honestly wouldn't have bothered otherwise.

Borisov Automobile and Tractor Electronics have some track record in their Belarusian League (although I've no idea what the competition is like :)

Hadn't realised that Alexander Hleb played for them 5 years before he joined us and then two more spells after.

Dundalk deservedly got past BATE last year. This should be a 5 goaler with our 5th string. God I hate the Europa when it's not Dundalk in it. :pac:

Despite our 'British Core' Arsene was so proud of, we don't have one player in the England squad that was just named.

Some might say that's a compliment to our team.

Thats a bit harsh on Welbeck. He hasn't done much wrong. I presume the Ox was picked despite his mediocre form?

Welbeck should be nowhere near an international team tbf.

He generally plays very well for England. Suits their style and the burden of being a goalscorer isnt hanging over him.

Welbeck is near the top of the current England goalscorer charts I think. 15 from 36 games, ahead of Kane, Sturridge and Vardy.

In fact of those recently called up only Rooney and Defoe have outscored him, and it's fair to say they've been at it a bit longer.

I do think Walcott gets undue grief for his misses.

Team looking quite good so far.

Theo has started well. Good chance for some young lads to shine and giroud to get the 100 out of the way

    Willock has started well

Willock and Nelson look to have a bit of bottle about them

Game over already , Walcott could fill his boots tonight, Giroud on the other hand ...has he even come out of the dressing room

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,475 ✭✭✭KaiserGunner

Shocking assist from the goalkeeper. Giroud slightly annoyed that he didn't get the pass for a tap in, but can't blame Walcott for taking it on.

Holding now. This really could get crazy.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,483 ✭✭✭brianregan09

No wonder Dundalk beat this lot

How Wilshere isn't an automatic starter for England when fit is beyond me.

Wilshere playing very good , looks back to his best tonight against a weak team though :) would like him on the score sheet :)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,093 ✭✭✭gitzy16v

What a pass from Wilshere...looking like the Jack of old

And 3...reckon we could hit these for 6 or 7 without much effort

Was gonna say at 2-0 down how easy they could get a shot away was terrible but knew I'd got shot down. :P

Commentator still going on about the arm, missing the heel to the head. Annoying.

The young lads are very impressive. Weak opposition, I know, but still, making the most of their chance.

Ospina absolutely shocking for that. Give Macey a chance FFS
