Could it be someone grasping at straws to try and save himself. You'd have to ask why we're only seeing this now.

Their shots were not threatening and from distance.
We have 70% possession but rarely threatened either.

boro had the ball in the net but was well offside , giroud should have had a peno for being held in the box . nothing much else so far

Ox is definitely our most threatening player so far. Amazing how quiet Özil and Sanchez are lately.

And Sanchez gets the ball in our half and can't complete a simple pass to a teammate....

Sanchez is so frustrating. Turns attacking play from us into a break for them and a goal. Sure, we should have stopped it, but it should have never been given to them in the first place.

Alexis. 5 times in a row, kicks the ball to a Boro player, all within 10 yards of him. Sublime to sh!t in a few seconds. His high risk game is not what we need right now. We are pressing well now. Ramsey the odd man out. Pure muck.

Monreal is under rated , fantastic crosser and good at both going forward and tracking back . Sure he fcuked up a few times but who hasnt in the squad ? LB isnt our strongest part of the pitch since cashley coles days

Monreal is a hard worker. I wouldn't call him a fantastic crosser. Ok at best.

Glad we got there in the end. Far from comfortable, though.

A few hard games coming up so i'd say Wenger will make his announcement tomorrow. He will struggle to get a better time to do it.

Agreed, Boro had their chances too and could have scored a few themselves. Ox and Holding were very good, Alexis free kick was world class. Both Kos, Monreal and Gab looked dodgy in the 2nd half. Giroud was non existent. But a win's a win. Let's see what happens in the next three games before we see if they turned a corner.

Id have to credit Wenger for at least changing things around for once but i cant fathom why he didnt do it earlier.

Wouldn't exactly call the tactical change a success this time either, Boro could have had three goals tonight. Monreal and Gab looking very very shaky at times. Good to get an away win under the belt though.

ah yeah either would i, but at the very least its good that Wenger was willing to shuffle things around. Too little, too late though. We need fresh thinking.
