Valentines Day. Would you prefer it didn't exist?

The day itself is a bit of a sham. Forced purchase of expensive flowers and a present. I personally purchase random flowers and presents throughout the year for my wife and she does the same for me. Birthday, anniversary, Christmas, valentines. Its just too much and too much pressure. My wife has it easy. She buys me stuff…

ENFORCED ROMANCE DAY!
It just exists to make single people miserable,couples stressed and florists and restaurant owners happy.
Be romantic..just do it out of love and spontaneity ,not because of a day.

I am completely indifferent to it aswell.. Maybe our first valentines day together (12 years ago) there was a fuss cos it was a new relationship and all but he's not a card person anyways. He probably will get me a bunch of flowers, its something his dad always did (and still does) for his mum. so its very sweet.. but no dinner or fuss. As someone said... the discounted sweets the next day is mighty! lol
