I hate to be a pedant but he has been in 2 shows, albeit in minor roles, which had Emmy nominations in the past 4 years (Louie and drunk history)

Maybe we need to be clearer in our questions as I can see where it could be read either way

I was asked did he have a new TV episode in the last 4 years

And then a follow up question saying did this show receive a nomination in the last 4 Years

This not these so I took the newest episode being the crown which isn't nominated yet

A question like "does he appear on his his own TV show" could get rid of Writer/director/producer but keep host/chef/reality star

Not a tv star, any tv appearances are incidental for this person, its not what he does in any meaningful sense.

Not going to count that as a question, when id said no to actor id intended it to cover that full range of appearing on big and small screen

Yes, I think the context of writer is important. As to whether it's writer (for TV or films) or author.

If they are famous for being in TV/Film they have to be a director surely. There arent any famous producers or script writers that would be primarily famous for just them roles are there?

Other things to consider

Religious leaders nuts.
Famous hobby people (chess/poker etc)
Could be a manager or owner of a sports team

I would say the religious angle is a good one to go with next.

Edit: he is American so I don't think it's likely to be a famous religious person (I was thinking along the lines of Pope, Dalai Lama).
