Is Mane still as good a signing as he was this time last week?

Or should we expect some element of a dead cat bounce from Leicester?

In saying that I guess Mane is likely to outscore Sanchez this weekend :pac:

If they don't have someone announced by Monday night I think the atmosphere could be toxic
Ranieiri was obviously extremely popular with the fans so they won't be happy

    I've done Sanchez to Mane.

    Foster Pickford
    Pieters McAuley Holgate Amat Francis
    Pedro Alli Stanislas Mane Sigurdsson
    Costa Kane Defoe

    0 FT and 2.5 ITB

Francis seems to be still injured, Holgate and Amat look unlikely to play. I was considering playing BB but Stanislas might not play either. I'm wondering should I just play Holgate and hope he plays, play BB and hope Stanislas plays or upgrade Holgate/Amat for a -4?

Don't play bb unless you have 15 playing players.

I presume it's AOA and not BB your talking about.
I'd probably AOA and rely on Stan to save the transfer but taking a hit for a defender you want could work too just be aware of it spoiling any plans you may have for Man City players next week.

It really is tough....I think you need another defender though and given you still have AOA he does not have to have a good fixture in GW27 if you AOA then.

I'd definitely take a hit for a defender. You could upgrade Holgate/Amat to Funes/Mori or a Hull defender. It could only end up being a 2 point hit if Francis, Holgate or Amat don't play. I'd hang onto Francis in case he's back for GW28.

    Thinking of doing the following:

    Ibra ---> Lukaku
    Philips ---> Mane
    Chambers ---> Baines

A -8 but it leaves me nicely stacked with 7 so far for GW28. I'll be honest though, I'm thinking short-term & going without some heavy hitters this GW could be costly. I'd be overly reliant on Costa & Hazard to get a decent score.

    ---- Jaku

    Baines -- Holebas -- Brunt -- Pieters

    Hazard -- Mane -- Siggy

    Costa -- Lukaku (C) -- Kane

    Pickford, Amat, Sterling, Fletcher

Well I have the 3 your transferring out but have Mane.
It looks good to be honest if you're not getting Kun (assuming he would cost 2 transfers next week) mostly because you've Sterling there already.

Did Ibra to Costa for -4, I know long term it's not a good idea but the fact he has scored 7 in 4 games against Swansea and the fact I have no Chelsea cover might justify my decision.

Wow... Too many things goin' on...

Just gonna keep it simple. Sanchez -> Mané. Probably Ibra -> Lukaku for -4 as a captain blocker.

And sure who else is there !
I have lukaku and ill prob just keep him for majority of remaining games
Also have kane........But he may well depart for my precious next week
Don't care if it makes sense or not

Don't have enough cash to hold him on (if I want Lukaku).
Don't have enough time (and will) to plan ahead.
    :p

This TGW idea a goer? I'd consider the TC chip on Kun given the fixtures.

Don't think the TGW will even be a possibility as I think Chelsea will beat a weakened united team in the fa cup
    If they don't ........
Think the TC is too risky on kun
Let's not forget even before Jesus arrived he was still not being picked every game.

yeah if they have a double i think i'm gonna pass altogether. i have what i think is a good plan for gw26-28 and beyond and i'm inclined to stick with it. obviously City players will be tempting but there'll be surely some rotation and City as a team haven't exactly been good to rely upon in fpl terms this season. as an example if i wanted to get 2 City attackers in for just next gw then it would effectively be -16 when i factor my plans for gw28 in to the equation (said City players would be straight OUT after gw27!) so it's all just a bit messy for me. That said i'll be absolutely peeping out from behind the couch in fear of Aguero triple captainers. hopefully Zlatan can bag a couple against Bournemouth and it won't be too bad

or of course Huddersfield beat City in the replay(which i wouldn't rule out) and all our fretting is for sweet nothing :P

    Pogba to Ma... Firmino.

Not a hope I'd play BB

I'm guessing elTel called it right an he meant AOA. Otherwise I'd be sending for the men in white coats. He has no bench.

This. There are 3 decent cheap defs with good fixtures ahead and no blank in 28. Taking a hit for Mawson, Maguire/Robertson or Funes M is a complete no brainer IMO.

In fact. Given you're gonna have to play Pieters away to Spurs this week if it was me I'd take -8 and get 2 of the above for Amat & Holgate if you can afford it. Those moves will almost certainly break even over next 2 GWs and possibly in the current week.

Would you replace Ibra with Costa or Kane for a -4?

The alternative is start Barnes and then decide next week on Ibra to Aguero!

If I transfer this GW it will be that said person out to Aguero next?

    Decisions decisions

I think I'm going with loyalty. Mané was good for me before the African cup and firmino frustrated me quite a bit when I had him.

I'm a sheep following the herd today.

    Sanchez to mané
    Zlatan to lukaku

Finally getting rid of Amat. Best hull defender? Is it worth a hit or would holding and playing de roon be a better option

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,862 ✭✭✭✭extra gravy

Just did Chambers to Maguire. Good fixture today and over the next few weeks and will give me an extra player for 28.

I would hold and play de Roon. Palace have been terrible lately.

    Sanchez to Mane.

    Cedric to Coleman.

    For a -4.

Have 8 players for game week 28 at the moment.
Another -4 to get in two city players for the dgw 27 and the barren week 28 is my plan, I think.

I'd get rid of Amat once and for all. Just got Maguire in from Hull myself, Robertson is another good option. Maguire shaded it for me though due to his attacking threat and cbi.

Pulled the trigger on Robertson. Have chambers and Francis aswell so there was a chance I'd field ten if I didn't. Only a 2 point hit really if Amat doesn't play. And I hate owning Amat so much aswell.

Debating now getting Kane in for Ibra for another -4 and then going Kane to Aguero for the following two game weeks.

Just my luck!! Decided to stick, Ash Barnes sent off and Costa scores! TBH I was leaning towards Kane but still a -1 v a -4 with Kane to play ;(

My two transfers (for -4) were Sanchez + Ibra -> Mané + Lukaku. The Lukaku huge captaincy was too hard not to give in to it.

That looks decent. Though, if I had not brought Lukaku in, I'd have had Crouch playing and Kane captain... Ah well, it could have gone worse, I could have sold Kane (keeping Ibra for next GW) :pac:.

I agonize over you agonizing! And you'll have a second layer to it next week. :D
Can you get Kun for free?

Ah this week I can't really be disappointed. I did consider Lukaku from the very first day of the GW. But then he got his "fake" injury and the closer we got to the deadline, the more I started to consider Costa or noone and save my -4. But with Everton not blanking and Aguero back in the mix, it was getting harder to continue ignoring completely price changes. So I caved in and well he did score so it is a success. I'm just having another super VC uncounted bonanza :pac: (maybe they should reward the players with the best VC over the season :pac:).

Funny thing is I made these transfers thinking about ditching Kane for Aguero this coming GW if the DGW actually happens. And I did have thoughts about doing this move 1 week earlier (to keep Ibra) and get Aguero for Lukaku this GW. But, eventually, I realised that overplanning it never really works and with Spurs fixture this GW there was no rationale behind ditching Harry ;).

So now, the decision has been made tougher (though Everton defense should not be the same than Stoke one) and I'm considering getting a City mid instead (replacing Alli). Hopefully the Cup games will give us some better indications regarding Pep's choices ;).
