Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Theory test for category.
    Get learner permit.
CPC , lessons to what you need and do test. No restricted like car or bike with min lessons.

No need for CPC unless (or until) you become a professional driver. You can go as far as having your full D licence. Obviously, if you intend on becoming a professional driver, it would be a good idea to get stuck into CPC. The same is true for truck licences.

The only exception is if you're between 21 and 24 for a bus (or between 18 and 21 for the trucks) - they'll make you take 'CPC stage 2 - case studies' before you get your first learner permit. You can do this at the same time as you take the theory test.

You'll also need to get a NDLS medical report from your GP before you apply for a learner permit in group 2 categories.

Expect to pay the guts of a thousand euro for lessons test and cpc test. Youll also need a second medical after you pass test and go to add the category to your license
