    Hi,

This may sound like a dumb question (yes I don't use Irish Rail much:)) but while using the Irish Rail journey planner I noticed that a few journeys have a change over to a bus and just wondering if that means you're going to be passed over to Bus Eireann or does Irish Rail use their own buses (so less likely to be late)?

In fact one of the journeys I planned out simply came back as get bus on platform X with 0 changes which makes me wonder what is the difference with Bus Eireann.

    Thanks.

They don't run their own buses - don't think bus transfers for works show up as such either. What journeys are you looking at?

That looks peculiar. I can only surmise that there will be works and they are laying on a bus service. It may be easier to just get a direct bus from Limerick to Waterford.

The Limerick Junction - Waterford service is one of the Cinderella services (see also Limerick - Ballybrophy).

On one occasion a relation of mine got off the train in Clonmel, and enquired of Irish Rail enquiries when the next train was, to be told that trains didn't go to Clonmel:rolleyes:.

ah, how did i know it would be lj to waterford.
from what i hear, bus transfers seem to be a regular occurrence on this line, with no information at the effected stations. of course our all singing all dancing regulator couldn't care a jot.

I'm very highly educated. I know words, i have the best words, nobody has better words then me.
