OnePlus 2 Car Charger

Hi,
I'm looking for a decent cigarette-lighter car charger for my OnePlus 2. The OnePlus mains wall charger is rated at 2.1 Amps (2.1A). I got one of those gizmos that allows you to actually read current being drawn during charging and it's only about 1.3A, even from that OnePlus wall charger. When I charge from laptop USB port, I get about 0.75A, and that charges the phone pretty quickly. However I've tried a couple of different cigarette car chargers (with USB ports rated at 2.1A and 2.4A) and can only get 0.25A. As a result, charging is terrible (about 1% increase in charge level in the space of an hours). I see this in a couple of different cars and with a couple of different cables so think I've tried all of the normal troubleshooting tricks / variables.
Can anybody suggest a good car charger that will give me enough current to charge the OnePlus 2?

Thanks for the info. This charger is a Quickcharge 3.0 charger and the Quickcharge technology only works with some phones, not including OnePlus 2 AFAIK. Still an off-chance that it may give better charging current to a non Quickcharge phone though. What phone are you using it with?

DASH is just a rebade of VOOC so if you can find this then you're sorted:

VOOC is objectively better than QuickCharge (I have both btw), so its a win win.


Oh, you have a Oneplus 2 not 3. No DASH for you so.

Thanks. Yes, always a chance that it's just a charger quality issue. That's why I tried a different charger. Maybe just going to a reputable brand is what's needed. I'll give it a try...
