Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I hope United win well and Paul Pogba has a good game just so I don't have to put up with "Ha, ye signed the wrong brother" crap tomorrow.

Stroll in the park time for United.

These lads are 5th in L1

Get it done and have no worries for the second leg, should be a comfortable win, by three goals plus.

3-0 united and pogba to score an own goal.

Premier League sides haven't fared well against Ligue 1 sides in Europe this season. Quite the opposite as PSG and Monaco outplayed Arsenal and Spurs respectively. And Saint-Etienne don't tend to be a stroll in the park for any side. They've the second best defensive record in the division and and only conceded one goal more than PSG (plus they got a 1-1 draw away to PSG earlier in the season too). They've a very good defender in Loic Perrin and probably the best keeper in Ligue 1 in Stephane Ruffier. Also it's not as if United have been great at picking apart well organised defences this season.

I'd like a comfortable United win but I think that would take a really stellar performance, or a really bad off-day from Saint-Etienne. I'm expecting a frustrating night for United but maybe a bit of magic or two to get over the line.

Ibra Mata and Pogba to score in no particular order 4-0

By all accounts these lads are supposed to be very solid defensively , will go 2-0 but 1-0 wouldn't surprise me.

St. Etienne fans gone a bit mad with the flares. Cracking atmosphere

This should be a tight game but looking forward to it. Perrin is supposed to be very good, be nice to see him and how we fair again in Europe.

Bailly just as poor as the stewards searching the fans for flares

Defense is asleep. Not the keeper's fault but de gea should be playing tonight why split up the back 5 they all know what each other is doing.

Did they have a few drinks in the dressing room beforehand?

Maybe that smoke is not from flares it could be coming from the dressing room.

Ander has made 3 or 4 vital tackles already for us, such an important player. Brilliant work rate.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

I think that should have been a peno but looked like the ref's view was obstructed.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,868 ✭✭✭Andersonisgod

How about I watch the match, comment on it occasionally and just not respond to Man Utds Boards so we avoid this nonsense?

    That's what I'll do.

Pity it was straight at the keeper. Had so much time too to take it down.
