Longford and Athlone are very poor this year. Cabinteely looked a nice side (in the huge 1 match sample I've seen them). Wasn't impressed by Waterford the other night but going down to 10 didn't help and they were solid at the back before the sending off.

    League of Ireland Outright Bets
Martin Russell (Limerick) - Premier Division Sack Race @ 8/1 (Paddy Power) – Novelty Bet Stake
“Applies to next manager to leave his position by any means whether it's by resigning or getting sacked”
Limerick dominated the league of Ireland first division last season winning the league with a colossal amount of points (75) winning 24 or their 28 games any winning the league by 23 pts. So you would imagine that Limerick fans are very happy at the moment, but there is some murmurs that sections of support aren't happy with Russell, and the fact he signs and players his son (deemed not good enough but Limerick fans) couple that with the wave of expectation after winning so easy in last season and add the money pumped into the squad, a poor start may have the Limerick faithful on his back.
Tough opening games for the promoted side including Sligo, Dundalk and Derry. While Limerick seem to have a good squad on paper, and the way they steam rolled the FD last season, the opposition will be nothing compared to what they'll face this season, and while playing some very poor opposition last season, Limerick showed defensive frailties in a lot of games, gifting goals to opposition (almost 1 goal a game)
While Keith Long at Bohs is favourite to be sacked first, we can't have it at 5/2 so We fancy Russell at 8/1 value to possibly be the first to get the sack. Buckley at pats has a 2 year deal and is on the board, Shamrock Rovers sacked a manager last season and had issues over compensation payment so won't want to go down same route again, Sligo lost a lot of games last year in the opening round of fixtures and stuck with Robertson, and also gave Heary every chance when he was there so don't seem keen to sack. Cork, Dundalk, Bray and Derry seem to be happy with their managers. So for fun, we'll have Martin Russell.

    COLLECT!! :D

First of our Outright bets wins! Two years in a row we've got the Sack Race down to a tee! ;)

    Hey,

Can anyone tell me why Cabinteely FC have been cut from 9/1 to 3/1 inn places overnight in the EA sports cup tonight against Boh's?
    Seems rather peculiar..

Think Bohs have an Injury crisis of sorts

Cork and Waterford to win their respective leagues, 2.54.

There's no odds for FAI Junior Cup outright at the minute but I'd add Sheriff to that too.

Edit: Got Cork, Waterford and Sheriff at 4.3.

    ***LEAGUE OF IRELAND BETS***
An bad weekend last week, with just one Small bet advised winning! Myself, Aidan, Graeme and Alan have discussed and are happy with the below!

    Cork -v- Derry Friday 7.30pm
Table toppers Cork host 3rd placed Derry. Cork go into the game on the back 7 wins from 7 this season, recording a 3-0 win against Limerick at Market’s Field last Friday. Their last home fixture saw them register a 2-1 win over Dundalk. The visitors come into the game on the back of a 3-2 home defeat against Bray Wanderers, their only defeat in their five this season.
Derry normally struggle in Cork due to the nature of the journey, a 900km round trip! Cork are in fine form and will take advantage of Derrys situation at present.

    Cork -0.75 (GENERAL) @ 1.80 MEDIUM STAKE

    Bray -v- Galway Friday 7.45pm
Bray come into this game in decent form and just outside the European places after a decent start. They boast a vast amount of attacking options which has shown in the opening round of games with 16 goals (2nd highest) scored so far in 7 games, it is in defence where they have let themselves down so far this season with a very leaky back 4, conceding 14 goals (2nd highest)
Galway have had a poor start to the season, and have been shakey in front of goal however, in their last 4 games they have scored in each of them, like Bray, a leaky defence has cost them points on the board.
We see this game as a game of two poor defences and see plenty of goalmouth action.

Over 2.5 Goals (GENERAL) @ 4/5 SMALL STAKE

    UCD -v- Athlone Saturday 7.45pm
UCD will be looking to bounce back from their 1-0 loss to Cobh last week. Athlone are conceding for fun this season while scoring a few, in 5 of their 6 League games they've been over 2.5 goals while in the League Cup mid week there was 7 goals in total! UCD will get a few at home while Athlone seem capable of scoring.

Over 2.5 Goals (GENERAL) @ 4/5 SMALL STAKE

A good weekend last week, a Medium and a Small winning with a Small losing! Myself, Aidan, Graeme and Alan have discussed and are happy with the below! 2 Mediums and a Small.

    Bohemians -v- Cork Friday 7.45pm
Fairly straightforward pick here. Cork seem a class above the rest this season and have won their first 8 games scoring 17 goals and only conceding 4, beating Champions Dundalk in this run. With Maguire firing on all cylinders up top it should be a routine win for Cork here.
Bohs on the other hand have had a very hit and miss start. They are currently struggling with 5 injuries of players who would all be in the starting 11 & this has really shown in recent games. (Akinade, Corcoran, Doyle , Morris & Wearen) Bohs were beaten 2-0 by Sligo last week , while they were well on top of sligo during a large part the game, Bohs just could not score as they have no firepower up top without Corcoran & Akinade. There are rumours Corcoran may feature in some of the match tomorrow but he will not be fully fit & I'm not sure Bohs will risk him. Even if he plays it shouldn't affect the result here.
Overall Cork should be way to strong for Bohs & with Bohs injuries it will be hard to see how Bohs wil threaten Corks defence at all. Should be a 2 or 3 nil here

    Cork -1.25 (GENERAL) @ 1.85 MEDIUM STAKE

    Waterford -v- Athlone Friday 7.45pm
Waterford went clear at the top of the First Division with a win over Cobh ramblers last weekend, while Athlone were on the end of another heavy defeat.
The opening day shock result for Athlone is well and truly behind Waterford who are unbeaten since and boast a 100% record at home. Since Athlones opening two victories they been poor, and only picked up 1 pt since those wins.
Waterford are without 2/3 players however, the squad is strong enough for the fringe players to come in and keep a strong 11 on the field. Also, these players will be out to impress to try keep their places in the team.
This should be a straight forward and comprehensive home win to keep Waterford at the top of the table.

    Waterford -1.75 (GENERAL) @ 1.75 MEDIUM STAKE

    Dundalk -v- Bray Friday 7.45pm
2nd -v- 3rd here but in reality there is big gulf in class. Stephen Kennys side sit 6 points behind leaders Cork and will not want this stretching anymore. Both teams come into the back of this with 2 wins, but Brays inconsistent defence should see them conceding a few against his strong Dundalk side with Bray conceding an average of 1.75 goals a game this season. Dundalks defence should hamper Brays strong attack this season. In reality this should be a game that Dundalk win, Bray have been decent this season hence why we go small with this bet.

    Dundalk -1.25 (GENERAL) @ 1.90 SMALL STAKE

Not a good set of bets, just one Medium win with Cork... Minefield this season!

    ***LEAGUE OF IRELAND BETS***
Not a great weekend last week, a Medium winning with a Medium and Small losing! Myself, Aidan, Graeme and Alan have discussed and are happy with the below! 2 Mediums, we had mulled over Cork -1 and Ath/Wex Over 2.5 Goals also.

    Limerick -v- Galway Friday 7.45pm

Limerick had a super win last week against Drogheda Utd, 3-0, and In truth it could off been 6 or 7 such was the amount of chances they created. With the win they moved up into the top 4 of the division, and will be looking to push on again, especially at home.
Galway, sit at the bottom of the table and are still winless this season. They have struggled in games this season and with every week that passes without a win confidence gets knocked.
Both had EA Cup fixtures on Monday, Limerick made a host of changes and rested most of the starting 11. Galway played a pretty strong side in their game v Derry and also went to extra time. Limerick will be fresher and We fancy Limerick to win this game, and possibly by 2+ goals.
Galway United boss Keegan also has some injury headaches ahead of the trip to the Mid-West with Maurice Nugent, Declan Sharkey and Jesse Devers all out through injury while there are doubts over the availability of Padraic Cunningham and Paul Sinnott who both face late fitness tests.

Limerick -0.75 AH (GENERAL) @ 1.80 MEDIUM STAKE

Finn Harps -v- Drogheda Friday 8pm

Harps come into this in an injury crisis, they had a long list of injuries during the week however lost another 3 players who were all taken away by ambulance against Sligo on Monday. To quote Horgan ''We have three more Packie Mailey, Harry Doherty and B.J. Banda definitely out after the injuries they picked up on Monday night. Danny Morrissey, Ciaran O’Connor and Jonny Bonner are all still under treatment for hamstring injuries.then we have doubts over Paddy McCourt, Barry Molloy, Caolan McAleer, Eddie Dsane, Ciaran Coll and Gareth Harkin.''
Promoted side Drogs are a bit hit or miss this year but thats to be expected with a young side. They've put in good performances against both Cork and Dundalk on one hands but got hammered out the gate against a rejuvenated Limerick last week. They welcome back experienced pair Gavin Brennan and Marc Griffin this week and bar missing two young lads on Ireland U18 duty and Killian Brennan they are full strength.
With Harps injury crisis and a Drogheda side travelling with a point to prove and two experienced lads back we expect Drogs to pick up at least a point here.

    Drogheda +0.25 (GENERAL) @ 1.95 MEDIUM STAKE

Just to clarify, we beat Derry 2-0 Monday night and didn't go to extra time. We also started 6 of our regular first team and five younger/second choice. Confidence is certainly higher in the team and we've been the better team in a number of our games, a lack of a killer instinct has been our problem. That's not to say Limerick may not cover the handicap but we are going there looking for a win.

A Medium win and a Medium lost last weekend! Myself, Aidan, Graeme and Alan have discussed and are happy with the below! A Large and a Small.

    Galway -v- Dundalk Friday 7.45pm
Galway have been woeful so far this season - with no wins, just five points collected and currently sitting at the foot of the table. They sneaked a draw with Limerick in the last 5 minutes last week after a piledriver from 30 yards. Scoring has been an issue for the Connacht men with just 6 goals all season in the league. Ronan Murray has scored 3 of those so stop him and you tend to stop Galway. The Tribesemen are at 100% for the clash with no suspensions as well as a clean bill of health, which will leave Keegan with plenty of options come Friday night.
Dundalk were off to a slow start but beat Bohs 2-0 at home last week and could have been 4 or 5 going by the match reports. It's early in the season but you have to feel that Dundalk need to go on a big winning streak just to keep pressure on Cork. No new injury worries for the lilywhites here and we expect them to easily pick up all three points.

Dundalk -1 AH (GENERAL) @ 1.75 LARGE STAKE

    Wexford -v- Cabinteely Friday 8pm
Bottom placed Wexford host somewhat a surprise package this season Cabinteely. Wexford have yet to win this season with their 3 points in 9 games coming from draws. Wexford have failed to score in 5 of their 9 games this season, 4 of the 5 being at home. Wexfords home form this season reads an opening day 1-1 draw followed by 4 losses. Wexford lost a good few players late last season, two more fringe players departed this week and there has also been a player suspended by the club recently so the mood in Ferrycarrig Park seems to be at an all time low.
After Cabinteelys opening two losses in the League, they've gone on to win 3, draw 3 and lose just once. They were top of the League for a period to everyone's surprise. They have a mix of experienced players and manager with a lot of younger hungry players!

Cabinteely Draw No Bet (GENERAL) @ 5/6 SMALL STAKE

A bad weekend last weekend with Galway beating champions Dundalk to kill our large staked bet! Myself, Aidan, Graeme and Alan have discussed and are happy with the below! A Medium and a Small. We also debated a bet on Waterford win, Limerick win (due to Sligo fielding a full team mid week in the Cup) and Cobh handicap.

Cork -v- Finn Harps Friday 7.45pm
Pretty straight forward here. Cork look unstoppable at the moment and are scoring for fun. They have a 100% record in the league with 11 wins, scoring 28 goals and only conceding 5.
Harps on the other hand are really struggling to find the net in their last few games. They have only scored in 1 of their last 5 games. Harps had a few decent results at the start of the league but are falling back into the relegation dog fight where they should be. Harps will be on of the teams who get relegated this season and their recent form has shown this, losing to Sligo, Drogs & Bohs in their last 3 games, all teams who are battling relegation
This tie is a complete miss match here and if Cork are up for this game and want to give harps a beating it could easily end 4-0+ if Cork want it too.

Cork -2 AH (GENERAL) @ 1.75 MEDIUM STAKE

Bray -v- St. Pats Friday 7.45pm
2nd from bottom Pats travel to 3rd placed Bray in a game which should see goals galore. The opening game of the season seen these two teams meeting with Bray winning 2-1. Since then Bray have been scoring and conceding for fun, while Pats are starting to pick up results.

9 from 11 of Bray League games have been BTTS
6 from 11 of Pats League games have been BTTS

Both Teams To Score (GENERAL) @ 4/5 SMALL STAKE

I fancy Sligo to give Dundalk a very tough game on Friday. They are starting to hit form up front with Sadlier,Ayuanga & Cretaro in good form. They are also not conceding too many goals conceding 4 goals in there last 6 games. While Dundalk will be without Gannon & Gartland who has a back injury. O'Donnell too may be a doubt.

Limerick vs Derry - Asian Handicap 0.0.0.5. - 1.925. Derry

Limerick are struggling to score many goals. They are too reliant on Ogbene & Tosi while a good finisher is too slow.
Derry are unbeaten in 5 games & are starting to improve. The Market's Field pitch should suit there style of play as well. Derry are creating plenty of chances as well & have been very unlucky in certain games.

Cork City away to Galway, yet another win for City? Galway drew with Dundalk recently but surely City will win I'd think.

4/9 is not a bad price on City on pp, 4/11 on bet365

I will be on City -1 11/10 and city -1 second half handicap at 13/5

I think Galway will give city a game but eventually the chances city create should be taken, 2 or 3-0 to City would be my guess.

Will also be on a double of city-1 and rovers win(evens)with rovers win btts as a single 11/4

    ***LEAGUE OF IRELAND BETS***
A good weekend last weekend with 2 winners from 2! Myself, Aidan, Graeme and Alan have discussed and are happy with the below bet! A Medium bet. We also debated a bets on Cork -1.25 AH, Bray and Cobh - these may be worth while in play bets.

    Wexford -v- Waterford Friday 8pm
Bottom -v- Top in a South East Derby. Wexford have been on a downward spiral since last season when a batch of players moved to New Zealand and this season with supposedly bannings due to some internal incidents. Wexford have managed just 4 points in their 11 games coming from 4 draws. They've managed just 5 goals in 11 games, while conceding 16.

Waterford come into this sitting top of the table. They opened the season with a loss but since then have gone on to win 6 and draw 4. They've managed 15 goals in 11 games, while conceding just 6. Away form isn't great.

Wexford welcome back defender Craig McCabe who missed the trip to UCD through suspension, but Craig Wall will once again miss out with a shoulder injury. Sean Hurley should be ok after hobbling off last week with a leg injury.

Waterford's Kenny Browne, Sander Puri, Ian McLoughlin and Dean O’Halloran are all still ruled out as they recover from injury, while Gary Delaney also looks set to miss out through a leg injury. Patrick McClean is rated 50/50 for the fixture as he recovers from a shoulder injury that he picked up in last Friday’s game against Shelbourne. Jack Lynch, John Martin, Dean Walsh and Owen Wall will be fighting for a place in the starting eleven.

Waterford -1.25 AH (GENERAL) @ 1.95 MEDIUM STAKE

    Unlucky 13 for city

Cork and Waterford to win their respective leagues, 2.54.

There's no odds for FAI Junior Cup outright at the minute but I'd add Sheriff to that too.

Edit: Got Cork, Waterford and Sheriff at 4.3.
    One down, two to go.

Waterford -1.25 AH (GENERAL) @ 1.95 MEDIUM STAKE

    FT 1-0. Half loss.:o

The Waterford fan we pick bets with who was at the game: "1 disallowed and post hit twice 😂"
"1 on 1 in the last min And instead of going for goal ran to the corner 😂 fuming"

I was at that game. Waterford were poor as they have been for much of the year but they are good the back.
Wexford actually scored a goal that may not have been out of play.
They did not have a 1 v1 at the end but it was a chance but McDaid went for the corner when he could have passed it.

Waterford vs Longford - +1 Asian Handicap Longford 1.81

Waterford despie being top are struggling to score many goals. And have a host of injuries
Team News: With Kenny Browne, Sander Puri, Ian McLoughlin and Dean O’Halloran all still ruled out through injury, Blues striker Mark O’Sullivan is a major doubt for this game with an ankle injury he picked up against Wexford FC on Friday last. Club captain David Mulcahy is also a big doubt through injury, while Gary Delaney is rated as 50/50 after missing the last couple of games. Garry Comerford is also ruled out as he is suspended after picking up five yellow cards while Jack Lynch, Dean Walsh, John Martin and Owen Wall will be once again fighting for a start in this crucial fixture.

Longford have improved defensively in recent weeks & drew 0-0 against a much stronger Waterford earlier this season.

Limerick vs Dundalk - Dundalk win 1.91.

Limerick are not in the best of form. Struggling in forward area's & won none of there last 6 games including the League Cup tie vs Cork. They have scored only 4 goals in there last 5 league games.

Dundalk now have Benson & Gannon back from & with McGrath off the mark now as well they should be full of confidence after a 4-0 win to Sligo & with a near full fit squad.

Like the look of this although I'm wondering if I should add to it:

    Cork -1 vs Drogs - 1/2
Bray to beat Bohs - 8/13
Derry vs Rovers Btts - 8/11
Galway and Draw vs Harps - 1/5
    Total Odds: 4.02

Thoughts? I'm a Limerick fan and I find their games fairly unpredictable which is why it's not in there. Dundalk have players back as mentioned in the post above me but Limerick have a new gaffer.

    Edit: Nevermind I placed it.

    ***LEAGUE OF IRELAND BETS***
Just one bet last weekend with it being an unlucky half loss Myself, Aidan, Graeme and Alan have discussed and are happy with the below bet! A one Medium and two Small bets.

Cork City -v- Drogheda Friday 7.45pm
Table toppers Cork host 7th played Drogheda. Cork's 100% run came to an end with a draw with Galway away from home, they went 12 wins on the row and will be looking to keep their 100% home form going with a win here against Drogheda. Cork sit top by 12 points with a far superior goal difference after 13 games - they'll be looking to make up for the draw last week and Drogheda could be in for a battering.
Drogheda have struggled away from home with 5 losses from 7, with their two wins being against bottom sides Galway and Finn Harps. Drogheda looked very poor against a struggling Pats side last Friday going by the highlights, it could have been a lot worse than a 2-0 loss for them.
Cork are without Conor McCormack who is suspended and on the injury front, Gear?id Morrissey is out with a hip injury that he picked up in Galway last week. Steven Beattie and Karl Sheppard will be assessed ahead of the game.
Drogheda will be without Thomas Byrne (dead leg) and Colm Deasy (knee) on Friday but they will welcome back Gavin Brennan from suspension and Stephen Elliott from injury.

Cork -2 AH (GENERAL) @ 1.90 MEDIUM STAKE

Galway -v- Finn Harps Friday 7.45pm
2nd from bottom Galway host bottom side Finn Harps in an early season six pointer. Galway have won just once this season against champions Dundalk last month, but they've grafted out solid performances Derry City and Cork most recently.
Harps come into this on the back of 4 losses - failing to score once while conceding 12.
Galway are nearing a clean bill of health with David Cawley (ankle) and Vinny Faherty (foot) returning to full fitness, both players will be assessed ahead of the Finn Harps game.
Finn Harps Harps have both Packie Mailey and Jonny Bonner out tomorrow due to a lack of match fitness after returning from injury. Meanwhile, Paddy McCourt, who has played with a hip problem over the past month may be pressed into action again although Horgan says the ex-Celtic man will need a rest at some stage. Eddie Dsane and B.J. Banda remain on the long term absentee list.

Galway win (GENERAL) @ 5/6 SMALL STAKE

Bray Wanderers -v- Bohemians Friday 7.45pm
Going into this game Bray sit in 2nd place and have been playing very well lately. They are a very attacking team who score lots of goals but can be leaky in defence. Bray are missing top scorer McCabe going into this game but they have plenty of other attacking threats who will cause Bohs hassle. Bohs defence any lacks pace and players like Connolly off Bray will cause Bohs nightmares
Bohs have been in awful form lately and do not look like they will be coming out of this slump any time soon. Bohs finally have main forward Dinny Corcoran back from injury, he played against Shamrock Rovers but did not look fit at all and did not get a chance the whole game. I feel Bohs will start to pick up in the next few game when Corcoran become match fit. but not against Bray who have far too strong an attack for Bohs to deal with. As said earlier Bray have quite a leaky defence but Bohs have not been a threat really in their last 5 games only scoring in one of these games against any injury stricken team Finn Harps.
This should be quite a straight forward win for Bray even with out McCabe. With how bad Bohs have been all over the pitch bray could easily win for 2 or 3 here

Bray -0.75 AH (GENERAL) @ 1.90 SMALL STAKE
