    Hi All,

I have a SecureWatch HKC alarm on my home for about 10 years now.

I want to change the code - Any ideas how I do this?

If you enter your user code and it brings up your manager menu you can change it from there.

If not, you will need engineer access to change the code.

When I enter the code, the main alarm sets...

How do I gain engineer access?

Unfortunately you need an engineer code to change the code so.
We are not allowed help re user or engineer codes on here.

Your options are to try a default and reset the system or contact the installer or any local installer in your area to do the reset.

Id advise getting the engineer code off them if they do the reset for you.

There are some installers here listed in the sticky. You could also search the psa register of licenced installers.
Beware of some installers with the line it's engineer locked or it has to be sent off to HKC to be reset. It's a straightforward job, we do them every week.

He is a link for the PSA website of installers.
Straight forward enough to set up a Securewatch system.

Can you set that alarm to be on while your sleeping upstairs with out it going off. When we put code in it says leave now

0 hash 7 or 0 hash 8 are the part sets on that system.

Unfortunately your code has not been set up with the correct permissions. You would need engineer access to change this.

The user menu was not set up so changing the code is not available.
You can download the user manual for the HKC system here

    Hi Altor/Koolkid,

Are you saying that there is no possible way of changing the password for this type of alarm without engineer access?

    Thanks

    Not without engineer access.

You could also try a default and if not engineer locked set the system back up yourself.
