Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    So

finally fed up with virgin. out of contract soon, so looking to see what my options are. As I see it I can choose from

    Eir
Sky (do I still need a dish?)
    Vodafone

What are people's opinions of each of these providers?

I have Sky TV and BB, there box is 2nd to none, really great user friendly thing. Find their BB more than adequate also. If BB ever goes down, you still have TV, which isn't the case with other providers.

I have eir and when I went to re contract with them last year pushed and got the following

got the tv pack essential for 12 months with a €15 credit for six months which ment the tv is free for the 18 month contract

got 1/2 price sky sports and movies for 12 months and when that expired managed to get another 6 months 1/2 price so a saving of €24.50 a month

Got the experience pack and Hd free for six months they are an extra €10 and €5 pm.

Overall im happy its Tv and it works. might not have the best epg or the ability to record 800 channels at the one time while watching another

did you need to take a phone line too?

Just 'chatted' with an agent who told me i also needed a phone line...no interest in paying additional fees for that.

To get BB you need a phone line. Line rental is included in the deal, you don't need to use the actual talk.
