Can you explain why my renewal premium is 145% higher than last year?

Same vehicle, same drivers, no changes at all.

I suspect you are absolutely right.  Lisa could give me nothing better than the crap that I had got on the phone a few days ago.

No explanation as to why my premium jumped by 145% in one year.

If anyone reading this is in the same boat, do what I'm doing, voting with my feet.  I WILL get a much, much better price.

Liberty, RIP OFF IRELAND is alive and well and you are a part of it.

Fair play. However, it isn't just Liberty.

Same situation as yourself, with Aviva, quoted 1400 renewal this year.

Rang liberty, got it for 660 euro. I am not joking on that one!!!

    Best of luck though!!

Yes, I hear they're all at it. The insurance industry is a huge part of Rip Off Ireland.

    This is how it is....

Liberty quoted €1150.00 which is up from €460.00 last year.  They reduced it by €100.00 when I rang them.

Next day I got a quote for €670.00 from a broker. When I asked for the name of the insurance company I was told.......

....yep, you guessed it, Liberty!!!  I don't understand that.

That was in February. I told the broker my renewal is early March. I rang back today to purchase only to be told that it had increased by €45.00!!

He said premiums go up every month on the 1st.  When I expressed surprise he said "Well they have for the past two years".

    I didn't purchase.

Try and act like a new customer on the website

Add in a female driver, equal age or older
Add another female driver, equal age or older

Than come back here with the quote. Make up the figures just to give it a go.
