Looking to go at the end of May - anybody been there recently and can recommend a central hotel? Is the Bellagio any good? Or what's better.

Stayed in the MGM grand a few years back.Lovely place and relatively cheap.Rooms were huge. Its
on the end of the strip.Enormous place too.
The Bellagio is very central.Never stayed but walked through it,looked expensive though.

I've been a few times and tried out a few different hotels, my personal preference is the Paris hotel, it is central, nice rooms, good food but for me the biggest plus for Paris is the relatively small footprint of the place. It does not take ages to walk around getting from the front door to the restaurants, to the elevators. Other hotels like MGM, Caesars are just too big for my liking, you end up doing a lot of walking around them just to get from A to B. In Paris the elevators are right beside the food court and the casino.
Wynn is very nice but expensive and a little out of the way. Make sure you find a coupon or discount site before booking a hotel (nobody pays full price :)).

The Venetian also involves long walks.
The reception must have been a 15 minute walk to my room!

My father forgot to take one of his pills and we were waiting 15 mins for him to just fetch them and come back to us in the elevator lobby!

Try a site called SmarterVegas, create an account and when you log in you can see the codes...hit and miss but if you can hold out for a few weeks you will find a code for the place you are looking for.
