We live in a small 1 bed bungalow in Tallaght,

We are end of terrace and want to extend as we have a 2 year old and both baby and mammy have disabilities.

We know the council keep bungalows for edlery and disabled, My partner got this place on medical grounds.

We don't want to move as my parents live 1 minute walk away and help out a lot.

We want to extend the house and don't mind paying ourselves. But here is the thing. We need to know if we are allow build. We don't want to apply for planning permission before knowing this as we have to pay architect etc to only find out we will never be allowed.

So how can I find out if we be allowed build ?
As i said we don't want the council to pay for this. We can pay ourselves.
But need to know if they would allow it before we spend money finding out.

    any info would be great.
    thanks.
