A date for your diaries, Saturday April 29th sees the fourth running of the West Limerick Endurance 125 Sportive. Taking in some of the area's toughest climbs including Mass Rock, The Grove, Farrihy, Rooska to name just a few. This event has become more popular year on year and really is one of the toughest sportive's in Munster, just ask anyone who has done it. The Sportive is run by Desmond Sportive CC in conjunction with the local community of Monagea. 100% of all proceeds go to the CRY charity which supports research into Cardiac Risk in the Young, a charity close to the hearts of the local community as it tragically lost two of its youngsters to Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome. There are a number of routes available if you don't feel up to the main event involving 1500mtrs of climbing over 125km. The craic is always great and the food in the foodstops is second to none. See flyer below and also Strava profile for the main event. Online registration available via the following link: https://register.primoevents.com/ps/event/WestLimerickEndurance125

Did it last year and it is as tough as they say, felt harder than the Skoda Gran Fondo in Clare which is quite a bit longer. Organisation was excellent and it was a great day out.

And charity wise its the real deal, the 20 euro you contribute here will likely go a lot further towards those who need it than the much larger amounts you have to give for other charity cycles (see the current running ROK thread)

Thanks for the kind words and glad you enjoyed the sportive last year, there's a few tough climbs in it all right!! Looking at what some of the other events are charging this year we feel we are really competitively priced and with it being a bank holiday weekend maybe even a few of the Dubs on this site might venture down for a real test :D:D:D
