Has anyone made any little subtle changes to their cars?
I'm thinking the first thing I'd do is upgrade the DRL's to a nice clean LED/xenon look, same as the parking lights and number plate lights.

From searching the forums in the uk, this kit seems to be recommended as long lasting, fits correctly and returns no OBC errors.

If it's anything like the Prius, there are probably a lot of aftermarket accessories available in Japan - but trying to find a local seller or find your way through machine translated gibberish on sites like Rakuten Global Market won't be easy (and shipping from Japan ain't cheap). There could be standards issues with things like lights, but I think Japan is UNECE compliant now?

A set of weathertech floorliners and matching bootliner:

I have the i3 fitted with 2nd row floorliners and a bootliner only as the custom front row mat is not available for RHD.

I thought about importing the official Nissan glowing logo kit from japan, but wasn't willing to pay the asking:

I was also look at fitting the homelink mirror from the US Leaf... might still do that this summer.

And of course added a dashcam and I have some custom tax and insurance holders that are less intrusive.

C13: maybe you share some of the S/ panels you got.
We can put on a trailer behind and we could have Mizen to Malin for EV's, bit like Paris-Dakar, without the sun, sand etc!

Rubber floormat, deffo! For the drivers side at least as I'm on building sites quite a lot.

Glowing logo kit is cool, would be a good diy alright. I seen the glowing side cills for sale recently.

Must google the home link mirror. Edit - just had a look. I'd have no use for that. I have it in the E60 but it was never used. Might prompt me to install electric gates :)

And the dash cam, deffo again. I haven't been without one in about 8 years!

If you ordered from the link I posed, you should also get parking lights to match and rear number plate bulbs too ;)

This is where I found the link

One word of caution if replacing reg plate lights to LED, get the lowest wattage you can find, there's nothing worse than being blinded by ultra bright leds when behind a car.

I think you need to check the visible light output (measured in Lumens) rather than wattage due to the vastly varying differences in efficiency with LEDs. Unfortunately with spurious Chinese stuff they could be telling porkies with any of the specs, but if that eBay listing is selling legit Cree LEDs (beware of fakes!) then they should be accurate.

How do you determine one as a fake?

I don't have too much experience with these, but some cursory Googling shows a lot of discussions and comparisons between real and fake Cree LEDs. Unfortunately it may be hard to tell until you actually physically receive the items and get a good look at them. They're a well-known manufacturer so counterfeiting is probably quite common.

Usual eBay diligence applies - if it's too cheap it's probably junk (I don't know what the going rate for legit Cree LEDs are though), and always check the seller's feedback (though they can often get good feedback for low quality goods if the price is right). That mnftech_led seller looks pretty reputable though, and at least appear to be based in the UK.
