Our solicitor wants us to sign a letter stating that we are buying a house against her advice. The letter doesn’t state what her advice is and makes it sound like we are ignoring important legal opinion.

Has anyone else been asked to do something like this?

Are you ignoring important legal opinion? Why is she advising you against buying this house?

Are you ignoring legal opinion? Obviously you have to have received legal opinion in order to ignore it.

Otherwise it's not worth the paper it's written on.

If you have received legal opinion not to buy the house I would expect the solicitor to resign the engagement but that's just personal opinion.

    Mod note

As you've been told on your legal discussion thread, legal advice cannot be given on boards. Legal advice is inevitable on this thread so thread closed.
