Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi

I'm looking at getting a car for my wife and a friend has his old car in a shed. The nct expired in March 2014.

If I buy the car and put it through the nct and it passes, is the nct from the time I got it passed or how does it all work

    Thanks

If it pass NCT now, it will be valid until March 2018.

Yeah, it's based on the date of first registration. As you can do the test 30 days early you should get a cert till 03/18 as said above.

I'd phone them to be sure to be sure tho.

Rule 1. Never buy a car from a friend.
