Just used it now. Great prices. No Ireland delivery address and UK prices are really high. So I ordered from Germany and add replaced Germany with Ireland with firebug in firefox. Got a confirmation. Lets see if they deliver it.

HELLO10 for another 10% off. Got 3 pairs of Asics DS racers for under 200 euro. They are RRP of 120 each but can normally get them for 100 ish a pair so 3 for 200 is very good.

So I did a bit of trickery and got the German prices so I got 3 pairs of runners for 198 delivered. They are 120 each locally so I am pleased.

what did you see to think that?

I saw this thread the other day and thought the name looked dodgy, I did not do all my usual checks but it looked legit enough to me.

You could email asics and see, they give an email on that site and it is for asics.com which further led me to think it was legit.

right, so nike.com could be a scam too?

it's a real site, owned by Asics, not a scam - you literally don't know what you're talking about.

Doubt its a scam, not overly cheap either, unless I've missed the sale?

They are not ridiculously cheap like some scam sites though. You would see similar reductions on the likes of mandm

    as i posted above:

    http://www.easycounter.com/report/asics.com

domain registered for 20 years, owned by the Asics Corporation

The official Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter page of Asics lists Asics.com as their official domain!!!

    Are you serious????

Very much comically uniformed, and backing your opinion up with another of your opinions, hardly counts....

It was worth reading this tread - entertaining and I enjoyed it - hope everyone has a GREAT weekend (although the weather is supposed to be sh*t*)

Did the trainers ever arrive? Post when they do (?) Thanks

Mine did, ordered 11pm on the 26th, arrived in Parcel Motel yesterday. Perfect quality. With a prepaid return label too (albeit through Royal Mail)

I have never heard this sub site term before. So I take it any site with

    https://randomdodgyname.genuineurl.com/

is actually & 100% definitely a "sub site" of genuineurl.com

I thought it may have been legit after doing this search on google
    clearance site:asics.com
    https://www.google.ie/?gws_rd=ssl#safe=off&q=clearance+site:asics.com&*

But this did not show up any page on www.asics.com which clearly gave a direct link to clearance.asics.com so I was still not 100% sure.

nike have http://store.nike.com and this is easily found when navigating on nike.com

I have never heard the subsite mentioned in the numerous "is this a dodgy site?" threads. Maybe this is since the vast majority were in fact dodgy.

We are well used to seeing sites like

    https://clearance-asics.com/ or https://www.asics-ireland-honest-we-are.com/

so its understandable someone would think https://clearance.asics.com/ looks dodgy if they did not know about this sub site thing.

I am surprised asics do it too, rather than http://www.asics.com/clearance

    Asics.com is owned by Asics.

Anything.asics.com can only be setup by the owner of Asics.com. That's how domain names work.

clearance.asics.com and asics.com/clearance is exactly the same them thing just fine differently.

Be just fakes not genuine Asics

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,225 ✭✭✭Chardee MacDennis

Anyway it boils down to; if you don't understand what a sub domain is, do you really think you're in the position to declare a site as dodgy?

    Hello
    ,

Thank you for your email and for your interest in ASICS.

The website clearance.asics.com is, in fact, an official ASICS domain. It is our official outlet website where we sell shoes from past seasons at a discounted price.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

    Kind regards,
