Ah it's not been that bad in the East and tbh Glorious in Wexford Gonzo!
Doc I see had a high above 22c today

It's still 17.6c here in Rural south wicklow with some sun still creeping through until settling
    Can't complain about that !

It's not terrible here either but a definite disappointment so far, especially after the fantastic May we had. We've had a week of decent weather since about the 27th of may which really isn't a great record now that were almost at mid summer. The north-west and parts of the west have had it worse alright, some places in Donegal may have not seen temps above 18C since May.

Things certainly look a bit more promising for the second half of July, but I've a feeling we will always be on the very edge of anything decent that's going as the cool muck will always be sitting to our north-west.

So far July has been humid, mostly cloudy and dry for me. Today, it's cloudy again but now it's cool. A day like today wouldn't be bad in the middle of October. This is getting ridiculous, becoming very similar to last year's July.

Nowhere. They just make up the ****tiest **** to get people to buy the stupid things. Fortunately, I'm not stupid enough to buy any type of sensationalism in the media.

Been very dry here around Tralee since about mid June apart from one wet day on the 26th of June giving 11mm and so far this July have just recorded 5.5mm ( June 85mm, May 42mm approx ).Was digging out the back last night and nearly needed a pick to break the ground it being was so hard.

Picture below is of a dried out Tubrid Well ( Tobar na Molt ) near Ardfert / Tralee , haven't seen it dried out before .

Lovely morning but back under the permanent blanket of cloud, a cool 18.4c now, overall a nothing day in a nothing summer!

With this setup in the reanalysis shown (dartboard low to the northwest and Azores High to the southeast), it's no surprise why June 2017 was what it turned out like. It was a classic zonal Summer month. June 2003 was very similar - although was sunnier. I think the best is yet to come.

Lovely summer here again so far in Kilkenny/surrounds. Warm, relatively dry and settled.

Great evening here best since the last warm spell. Still in the garden in a t-shirt with friends drinking wine. Warmer outside than in the house.
