Your smiley doesn't show up for me on touch or mobile version Clonmel
It appears as Greek letter code only so no idea what it is

    Meanwhile just mostly drizzle here

Looks like Gonzo and I will be out of the country at the same time
We can do a temperature dance off :D

there may be a brief window of dryness and warmth tomorrow with the south and east getting maybe low 20s and mostly dry sunny conditions. Saturday is looking dry as well. At this stage any dry day we get is a bonus.

Been like October all month to be fair, looking at temps this month in Donegal, Finner has only managed to reach 18C once all month and Main Head has only managed it once since the 20th of July! That'll hopefully change this coming week but it's getting a bit late to redeem things at this stage

Currently 17C with driving drizzle in Letterkenny

It's been more like late September/early October through much of the country this month, easily the worst month of summer so far. This Friday could be the coldest day of the month with temps generally struggling to reach even the mid teens. RTE's forecast had us down for 13-14C on Friday which is really poor. Thankfully this won't last long with temps recovering from Sunday.

GFS has fine conditions for Ireland - similar to early May, from next Tuesday onwards today. Temperatures disappointing but it will feel nice in the sun.

ECMWF brings a fine period from Wednesday-Friday next week but then a showery interlude from Saturday. Temperatures again disappointing.

Beware that there is quite a bit of tropical developments going on which are hindering the confidence of even short range forecasts.

Ex-hurricane Gert looks like affecting Ireland on Monday now instead of Sunday.

What a downgrade from the models today, especially the ECMWF - I wouldn't mind what the GFS is showing regardless of the cool temperatures.

Today, despite the heavy cloud, the odd shower and stiff breeze, it felt like Miami. Only another 2 months of this to go, since our summers seem to be lasting longer and longer every year.

    Roll on the darkness.

    New Moon

September could turn out warmer than August, it's happened before. We've had many crap Augusts's and decent Septembers.

The BBC already hinting that the high pressure may only be temporary with a return to unsettled conditions from the north so unfortunately it's beginning to look unlikely we'll have a settled & warm spell this August.

Too much tropical developments going on to be even certain what's going on in the next 5 days.

heavy shower here now and a very unsettled 4/5 days to come, time to pack away the bbq till next May I reckon. This August has been crap, nothing else to say about it. Really looking forward to getting some proper warmth and sunshine late next week.

Unfortunately not, even 2 day predictions are really low confidence rating at the minute.
