Merville or Belgrove? Which is better now

Which is better now that some of them are done up etc. Which is better to live in as a 1st year student and what are the pros and cons of both? Apart from the fact that Merville has a centra??

Merville is a good bit bigger and more modern than Belgrove but not as centrally located as Belgrove is. Speaking from experience I would recommend Ashfield if you can afford it. It is a decent bit more expensive (9000 v 6500) but it completely outclasses the other two as it was only built last year.
