repair and lease scheme

    hi every one,

    can any one help me get more information on how to get registered for the " repair and lease scheme " that the councils are rolling out this year... i have a house that needs a good bit of repair to make it live able in , i heard of this scheme but can get any info from council here - wexford co.co. i know it was run in waterford and carlow, i just want to find out if have started in wexford yet and how do i get my property enlisted?

    if anyone has taken part in this scheme please could you give me the pros and cons of scheme?

    any information will be appreciated..

    The Repair and Leasing Scheme (RLS) has been developed to assist private property owners and local authorities or Approved Housing Bodies (AHBs) to harness the accommodation potential that exists in certain vacant properties across Ireland.     It is the ministers 'intention' to roll out in April 2017.

    Consider carefully before taking the council scheme route. You'll need to arm yourself with a lot more facts and research from searching boards and other sources.
