when will we know for sure were allowed in the Europa League 2019/20 and get our UEFA Licence ??

hopefully we will get the go ahead and our connections in the FAI might help

going to try and head out tomorrow night for the final game of the season, should be treated as a big party as a few years ago finishing top 4 in the premier and going to Europe was unthinkable

Don't know just seems strange, rarely if at all have seen it happen before.

Limerick were 20/1 apparently and suddenly down to 8/1. Hopefully just someone mad enough throwing money on limerick and nothing more.

just after been told. a whatsapp group msg is going about from yesterday stating that a WFC goalkeeper has told the author of this text that the players haven't been paid in weeks and have all got on Limerick at 18/1 and are throwing the game. onto a few mates in Derry and they have few quid on Limerick. its a shocking end to the season if true

  • Registered Users Posts: 501 ✭✭✭tbayers

Always wondered if you were going to throw a game why the heck would a paper trail be left, eg messenger, what's app etc. This is shocking if true, hopefully no truth to people not getting paid either.

Looks like this rumour has started from somewhere, people heard about it and are throwing money at the betting sites thinking they are onto something golden. It’ll be great when we beat them 5-0 later. Stupidest rumour ever.

Blues at 1/3 now are a cracking bet.

That "rumour" is the stupidest thing I've heard in a long time, and is completely disrespectful to the players, who have given their all this season, and to the owner.

It’s pure BS lads. Just shows how easy a rumour can start. The players are properly p1ssed off about it too by all accounts as a lot of them are on win bonuses, so expecting a big performance tonight. Good chance to back the Blues on the handicap.

Gone off paddy power now anyways

Hoping for a big crowd tonight and we hammer them. They did beat us the last 2 times we played them with one being in the RSC. Anyway result means very little tonight but we still need to finish this year on a high

Is it true we only have 3 players tied down for next season and the rest of the squads futures are up in the air ??

Yeah nearly all the squad are on 39 week contracts so are effectively free agents as of next week but I presume talks have been going on behind the scenes to tie down players for next season.

Lee Power just on the radio. Himself and Rennie sitting down in the morning to sort out next year's budget and start sorting contracts for those they want to keep.

He’s not the most gifted of finishers... Scored a fantastic header against Rovers last week to be fair.

So our season ends on a high 4-1 win

Great season which has left us in 4th and a Europa league 2019/20 place

Very enjoyable time here and looking forward to more discussion in 2019 and some travel tips/ideas for Europe

    Enjoy the break everyone

I'm not a football follower so bear with me but I do understand that a large part of many football fans game experience is having a pint before, during or after the game. In the case of Waterford how does this work as there is nothing within any reasonable distance of the ground for fans to meet and have a jar.

A lot of the fans meet up in Norris's bar before and after games. The owner of the bar used to be the chairman of the club aswell and has become the spot to congregate for a few pints.

Gary comerford has gone to cork, good player he will be a loss.

JJ Lunney has signed from bohs

Comerford did a job no matter what position he was played in. Always handy to have someone so versatile in the squad. Best of luck to him.
