Who got injured last night, didn’t see the match but my mate was dating the guy doing the game via Patreon was atrocious. Said he could clearly hear his conversations with whoever he was there with and the video was cat. This guy is apparently the media officer, thank god the Streams won’t be through them for the season. Said he couldn’t even zoom properly ffs

Dean Walsh went off injures not sure for what tho.

I’ve read somewhere that the first division clubs get a cut of the streaming revenue yet they have no involvement.
    Strange decision

It’s a way to support the foundation which I’d be all for. Great news also that Micheal O Connor has signed for the club till end of the season, no loan deal. He’s been in great form in his last few league games and is a nightmare for opposition teams. Should be fit hopefully for the bench Saturday night.

going by this weeks N&S Daryl Murphy picked up an injury and Sheridan is hopeful of a few more signings before the weekend

    Were a young squad apparently

Yea seen that. Know nothing of Kurtis Byrne, wonder what he’ll be like. Looking forward to it all kicking off and to be able to watch away matches and all matches actually.

Entered a comp to win a pass for the streaming service :D:D

Yeah its a great outlet and ill see how we go, hopefully hit the ground running

Will soccer republic still be on RTE ?

No idea but would it be counter productive? Knowing RTÉ they’ll start to show more games now it’s available to buy online.

4pts min is needed for the next 2 games but massive challenges with both away (Shels and Sligo)

I think we can get the 6pts but 4 would be great to have with O Connor returning vs Cork, fingers crossed.

Another signing Robbie Weir worked with Sheridan at Chesterfield, Defensive Midfielder.

when Sheridan took over he was saying 'his job will be to get us to Europe' few weeks later its 'his job is to avoid relegation'

With all the travel restrictions etc you could argue Derry City have a decent chance of top 4 being part of the UK

Can anyone shed any light on season ticket holders, are they going to be able to go to any matches at all or is there a plan to bring back limited numbers?

There was talk of 500 per game, names on a list, and after attending one, you have to sit out two, not sure if this is possible, but it was talked about, only 2 games out of the first 8 at home, so we will know nearer the time.

I think that talk was just exploring the avenues but with all the players, staff, match day staff, grounds ppl and media I think it was shelved bringing back any supporters in the short term.

Cheers, got a free pass to watch on line as season ticket holder, not ideal obviously but what can they do. Hopefully financially, stuff works out, on the pitch too of course.

No chance until the government raises the allowed attendance.

Sligo looked very good yesterday but saying that Derry were muck. Might be a more difficult trip up to Sligo now than we thought. Stream was good to be fair. Big match today against shels , I would take a draw considering shels were training when they weren't supposed to be during the lockdown and also playing friendlies before we were even back training.

Mad how there’s no action taken against a team doing that but then again they had a squad together we didn’t. St Pats manager saying the group have bonded over the Covid period do say they were at it too. We need to start off on the right foot and get the new players busting a gut every game. Here’s to three points leaving Dublin.
Great user name “Smell The Glove” LOL

It was Bohs training when they weren't meant to be. Not Shels.

  • Registered Users Posts: 38,386 ✭✭✭✭PTH2009

nice 3 points with some good play, Smith and Timo look great prospects

Sligo away on Tuesday and be great to get another 3pts but id take a draw

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,510 ✭✭✭Max Powers

    Great. Good start.

think we're better off out of the cup and concentrate on getting that 4th spot (and hopefully a euro place if somebody top 3 wins the cup)

Our luck we will knock Dundalk out of it and then go on too lose to a first division team in the next round

  • Registered Users Posts: 893 ✭✭✭Deisegodeo

really good win yesterday, much the better team I thought, probably shouldn't have had to be hanging on towards the end but also impressive defensive performance to hold out and secure the 3 points.

tough fixture now Tuesday away to Sligo who had a massive win away to Derry. then cork at home next weekend. lots of big games coming up, great to have it back and the streaming service is excellent.

reports last night on social media that Daryl has signed for us, but I haven't seen confirmation anywhere. that would be some boost for everyone. fingers crossed.

    Looks like it’s done

game against Sligo tomorrow night has been postponed as suspected covid case in blues squad. doesn't sound great, hopefully it is just a precaution and not confirmed

Waterford FC have suspended operations due to a player presenting with COVID like symptoms.
Hope it’s a false alarm for the player.

Match off vs Sligo, player with Flu like symptoms in Blues squad but he wasn’t in the squad vs Shels so could be O Connor.
