Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

4 games in 11 days, 3 of them on the road, 1 of them in another country, up against a team who've had 15 days off to prepare for one game. And they still get the win.

    Fantastic achievement.

Apparently Mourinho rang up Klopp at half time and asked him what he would do in this situation

Mourinho did the opposite and won the cup

Surprised he didn't run down the touch line and ring the wife.

Mourinho did the opposite and won the cup

So conceding a 2-0 lead was all part of the plan.

Congratulations! The extras €500,000,000 difference to the cost of the squad totally worth it.

didn't come out of my pocket! If Billionaire Businessmen want to give us players like Zlatan and Pogba rather than Alex McCarthy and Jeremy Pied , I guess I will go along with it.

So does the linesman get a medal too?

Yet another embarrassment for the english officials. The final of a cup decided by a mistake.

A great day for Irish glory hunting today. A great great day.

    Get in there!!!!

May the pints be tall and cool and the comments salty and predictable.

Need another trophy cabinet at this rate.

When's our next trip to Wembley?

Should be called Old Trafford south at this stage.

I thought it was decided by a goal in the 87th minute?

Was there another final on today?

Lets be honest, it is clear who will get it. And it is probably right. Especially when you hear all this nonsense like "one man team"

Would make sense actually to play all their games there as the supporters would get home quicker.

    Zlatan.

It's easy to say it in hindsight I suppose but he's the best signing José made. I originally thought Utd's best summer buy was Bailly.

It's not even in the same stratosphere.

The guy is a winner. Plain and simple. And a serial one at that. Because of that, he does not settle for anything less. I guarantee you he's still telling that changing room that Chelsea could be caught in the League.

His mentality is priceless to that dressing room, and those players will be infected by it.

England was arrogant for a long time about Ibra, thinking he couldn't cut it there. Unbelievable nonsense. And now he's tailored his game in his twilight years to still be the central player at a top club.

Only Messi and Ronaldo are above him in the last decade IMO.

I can't say enough about him.

In fairness, that linesman may have believed the other (clearly offside) Southampton attacker was interfering in play by attempting to go for the same ball and distracting De Gea.

He'll get his chance to explain himself post match.

Not sure what's worse, lads whinging about United's win or those in response who are more excited to see those posts than to see their team win in the first place. Happens every year.

    Congrats lads, enjoy the win.

Never got why the League Cup is considered lesser to the FA Cup, takes just as much effort to win it.

Southampton will rightly feel hard done by all the same, if nothing else I hope this helps in the argument to introduce video refs.

Zlatan is some lad, I wish he'd just retire already.

Fair play to utd. Success breeds success. They didn't play that well but they were clinical. Could be the start of something good for utd unfortunately.

We'd one of your United lads posting in the Liverpool thread five minutes after full time too, eejits aren't exclusive to a certain club. Don't let it get to you and celebrate your win.

Here is the Boards.ie Cardiff v Liverpool Capital One Cup Final Thread. It will make good reading to see how much Liverpool fans appreciated the win. They seem to show more emotion about United winning than them winning.......... I am going to seep through and catch a few "mickey mouse/nothing trophy" posters out!
