Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Looks like a bathroom tile from the 1970's. Fantastic.

Random striker thought, if Klopp is basically wed to his current system of Firmino as his first choice, and Stufferidge and maybe Ings are sold then I reckon a good and pretty cheap replacement for them would be Anthony Modeste who is current at FC Koln. They are midtable and going nowhere else this season now, he is not top draw in some regards (passing/vision is a bit hit and miss) but what he does do is finish his dinner - conversion rate is very good at about 1 goal every 4 shots (comparable to Aubameyang), he's mobile and good with his head.

Definitely be a good option to have on the bench, wouldn't be too expensive seeing as he's 29. If he's one thing it's instinctive, rarely takes more than one touch before shooting. He'd be a good striker to have for a couple of seasons for Origi learn from too.

Nice of them to get Mr.Glass to model it.

I'd be more on board with a Firmino upgrade as our top priority.
It will cost 60M.....that 200M will not cover what we need...

Back to the now and 3rd place race.
Klopp was a bit carefree and honest today for my liking in the presser. Not just the player comments but his assessment of Watford. He knows they can cause problems and we're likely to need two goals at least (probably three). I don't see any changes in personnel for us but is there any chance he has a "Plan B" for tomorrow?

Rumour is it's Douglas Costa who's been photoshopped out of it but who'll be revealed officially on July 1st. If you look closely at the bulge in the chest area on the left just above the nipple, this corresponds with a wound Costa has been carrying since he fell off a mountain bike as an 11 year old in the Urals.

    I'm excited.

Should make it easier to clean up the mess when we crap ourselves defending again next year.

As long as we get 3.

I think our top 4 challenge could end like this.
    Charlie being Liverpool .

I think Liverpool have overachieved so far this season. Helped by a great signing in Mane, honeymoon period of the new manager, no European games, sacrificing the domestic cups and very favourable refereeing, penalties being awarded like confetti.
Next season will be much tougher, especially if Liverpool somehow miss out on the CL. Hard to imgine from the current position but the couple of decent players could leave in that case. Until recently LFC could just go out and buy the best players in the league, but they don't have the financial advantage they once did. Klopp will need careful recruitment this summer whatever happens.

    Stay strong fellow reds.

The only things I can agree with in that post are:

    1. Mane is a great signing.

    And

    2. We weren't in Europe this season.

Never understood fans thinking it weird or negative when a manager or player actually addresses the media honestly. Personally loved Klopp's presser yesterday. There's way too much bull**** in the game.

Wrong. Milner owns twelve different pairs of those, all slightly different shades of white.

Lovren Contract: “If you’d asked the fans after the Dortmund game they would said give him a 20-year contract. After the Palace game fans would have said ‘can we find another team who will have him?’ The truth is somewhere in between. If Dejan played for another club you would think about signing him, it would be a big number. He’s physically strong, quick. Sometimes his decision making could be better, nobody out there is perfect.”

He could have left out the bit in bold.
But sure nobody out there is perfect is we won't hold it against him :pac:

Dejan does go through periods where his head is in the clouds. When this happened in the past it was put down to personal issues around his father, then his wife was blamed for doing the dirt etc. At some point you have to get your act together on a consistent basis and that will influence your decision making on the pitch.

I'm happy Klopp is honest about his players and if it gets the right reaction from the player it is for the good of the club. No one player's feelings should be put ahead of the progress of the team imo.

He sounds like he'd be useful in the big games, away to Real Madrid for example.

    We did.

I'm glad Sam A got the smugness knocked out of him today with Burnley beating them at home. Amazing though how Palace can beat us at Anfield and then go to the lows of being beaten by Burnley at home. Unlikely, but it's be great if they still got relegated.

I know, I didn't articulate my point very well.

I meant the fact Sakho is gone for the rest of the season (most likely) may have a negative impact on CP whereas he was just out of the game with us and if anything was there in spirit urging his new team mates on etc.

I watched about 15 mins of that game but they were 2-0 down when I joined it so didn't stick with it (though he did play one glorious through ball which wasn't used as well it as should have been). Good to see he had another solid game

Am I missing something here? Did we never lose a game with Sakho in the lineup?

Mangala would be an interesting signing ? A sakho type with a brain.
He has passion to defend. Can see that
