Some weird quotes there alright, but his contract runs til 2022. As much as I'd love him we probably wouldn't spend the money required, which will probably be huge, and its probably unlikely he'd be interested.

Gerrard is not a deep lying defensive midfielder, nor is is a high energy midfielder, what is is now and still could be for us is a midfielder of quality who should have ZERO defensive responsibilities and ZERO attacking or tracking responsibilities. He could still do that for someone if not us.
