Anyway.......... as I like to do from time to time, let's see what the betting markets make of TOP 4

    Tottenham 1/14
    Man City 1/6
    Liverpool 2/5
    Man Utd 7/2
    Arsenal 5

I think there the biggest prices available for each, not overly sure but they aren't the shortest prices anyway.

He's hardly that far out of Dejan's pocket already. Fake news!

Apparently some self-appointed moral authority has decreed that Daniel Craig should NOT be allowed to visit Anfield because 007 is a national icon and not a Liverpool FC fan. Seems kind of....bitter... after their derby loss:rolleyes:

Cue Everton fans digging up videos of Liverpool fans singing anti James Bond songs to make themselves feel better.

    WELL DONE TO
Brendan Rodgers, what he has done at Celtic is easily played down, but he is unbeaten and won league title in some style.
Need to remember he lost Suarez, and Sturridge was on the downward spiral during his last year at Liverpool. Any team would struggle considering that, but he paid price. It was a difficult time as if we conceded a goal we lost, full stop. We could not score 1 let alone 2 in a game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,337 ✭✭✭✭monkey9

Yeah Rodgers has done a fantastic job there. In fairness, if he didn't win the league, it'd be a failure. But to still be unbeaten and play the football Celtic have been playing is really quite commendable. Well done to Rodgers and to Kolo too.

    Humour thread strikes again.....

Since Everton last won at Anfield, Blackpool have risen from the 4th tier to the EPL, won at Anfield, and fallen back to the 4th tier again

This should be Evertons' Anfield victory song

This can't be stated enough. It is not a competitive league but they did do it with style. Begrudgingly giving credit here and I don't care which of the BR lovers dislike that (there's a few of ye).

4th is now "in our hands." Even if United and Arsenal win their games in hand we'll be ahead of Arsenal by 2 points and United on goal difference.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,347 ✭✭✭✭Grayditch

    That'll do.

If he goes 9.2 games between injuries, we'll have twice the player.

11 pts dropped to the teams in bottom 6 have cost us big time. We'd be top but for those Twilight Zone results, so annoying. I would be easier to take if those points where dropped to teams in top 4

Well, except that if we had done that, we probably wouldn't be top 4 ourselves. Soooo, if we're gonna drop points, I'd far rather it be against those who aren't direct challengers.

Great weekend for Liverpool... And Griezmann is a Liverpool fan!

We'll just go get Champions League football and then sign him and a couple of other lads too. Sorted.

Ah ya, we'll definitely pay the requisite 80m and 200k per week or whatever for him.

Great weekend of results the 3 teams we are in a race with for top 4 all drop 2 pts. Spurs are nailed on for top 4 so it doesn't matter what they do.

Liverpool now have one fewer point than last seasons total and there are 8 games left.

As of now compared to last season

    2015/16 Liverpool 30 12 9 9 9 8 46 41 +5 45 1.50

    2016/17 Liverpool 30 17 8 5 7 4 64 37 +27 59 1.97

Worth pointing out that in the last 6 games they've scored 12 goals, so that drought period is over it seems.

    v top half
    Liverpool 15 9 6 0 5 2 26 12 +14 33 2.20 :)
    bottom half
    Liverpool 15 8 2 5 2 2 38 25 +13 26 1.73 :(

Great weekend of results. I'm hoping we can hold that third spot, terrified that Leicester and Manu could make 4th irrelevant.

85/1 with the bookmakers........... realistically 1 in a 100 chance ish.

They obviously probably won't but they're still in it and I genuinely wouldn't be all that surprised if they did. Many uttered similar last season about the league. The ****ers have their tails up now

Just imagine if Liverpool had Barkley and Lukaku.

The front three would be Coutinho, Firmino and Mane.

Barkley could be used in training in the wall like these guys. Or, at the very least first sub.

What a fantastic day yesterday at Anfield. We were sitting in the new part of main stand, the very last row 93 at half way line.
It's hard to believe actually how high you are up compared to Kop etc.
I can't imagine how high the Camp Nou would be :)

It was a super experience at a derby game.
Coutinho was excellent as was Can, Lovren, Lucas (turned back the clock)

Barkley was nasty from the get go and should have seen red especially the tackle on Lovren

With the other results it was a perfect weekend for Liverpool, yes spurs kept winning but I don't think the will keep it up and they have a tough run in

Wednesday is vital to pick up 3 points and keep going game by game

    YNWA :)

Ermm, well except for the fact we would be in a worse position to actually get into the top 4 as our rivals would have extra points. :o

Utd still have to play Chelsea, Spurs, Man City, Arsenal and Everton :D

Actually, almost every week now, there is a match between the top teams. If we can stop dropping stupid points then top 4 is ours as someone around us will be dropping points most weeks.
