Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

That is such a huge win. Really dug it out in the second half. That save from Mignolet was ridiculous. Gonna mow the fuck out of the lawn with a big smile on my face :D:D

Back of the net. I love all you guys. I'm blazing.

Gini was sensational in that 2nd half. Himself and Can really sparked into life when Coutinho and Firmino came on

Really softens the blow of the Bournemouth draw. A win then and a draw today would've been acceptable imo

Football is so dumb I love it

I really think anything over 73 pts will get top 4, we're on 63 pts with 6 games left.

Brazilians make the difference. Both of them looked fit and healthy to me! Origi is awful.

By the end of this season it'll be

    regardless of the final placing.

    Average at worst.
His first half attacking colleagues were 4th year apprentices essentially.

Chelsea need to beat Bournemouth or the pressure is on going into tough tough games, United away. Everton away in April.
Spurs actually have a chance, would hate to see them win it. Would be an exciting finish.

I figured we'd beat Bournmouth and lose today so 1 point to the better isn't bad going.

I can't see us being at our fluent best for the rest of the season, so 6 more yard dog, skin of the teeth wins will have to do instead.

Origi is still that same player he was when he signed. Hasn't improved at all.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

Origi was absolutely on it against Bournemouth, Klopp changes everything and he comes up short today, it happens.

Firmino is now the most goalscoringness Brazilian in the Premier League now I think.

Liverpool have now won 15 or 18 points from losing positions, which more or less balances out losing from winning positions. Ho-hum!

I think woodburn still has a bit to go before he can do it on a sunny Sat afternoon at Stoke

Coutinho was last week so they must be level.

It's one thing to drop a young lad into a quality settled side and chip in.
It's another to expect them to carry half the attacking threat of the side with not a lot going on behind them.

Find it harsh as he was up against it today against shawcross and indi. He was excellent the other night i thought

Gap to Chelsea is now 4pts for Spurs, if Bournemouth who are great at home win against chelsea it stays at 4. Chelsea away to United next, Spurs at home to Bournemouth.
Gap could be 1pt next week ! It's hardly far fetched.
Wish Liverpool could have avoided those shock defeats we had, we'd be right there with Chelsea now .

    Origi would've finished that.

lol... he would have been on the wing... or he may have done a great "hold up" of the ball

We have 7 points more that we did last Saturday morning.

We would have taken that before the derby game.

When you have to close a gap, it's not just about getting there - it's staying there too.

They'll probably have to win all of the rest of their games even if Chelsea collapse.

Good news is that Liverpool have just one game a week from here on.

Sturridge was like an Alice Cooper song out there.

    And no more internationals.

The last one seems to have spurred Coutinho on, but we need fit bodies at this stage.

If we get Lallana back soon and no other injuries then I think we should be fine.

Today's win, coming back from behind will be good for confidence.

According to Klopp Coutinho lost 3kg in the past 3 days through illness, he really stepped up when needed considering that.

Must've been coming from both ends. Probably a dodgy bowl of scouse.

That's nothing Daniel Cormier lost over a pound in 2 minutes yesterday.

Really great to get the one 'Mane' team jokes off our backs. Two sub's made all the difference although defence is still dodgy and I'm always nervous until the final whistle.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

Some actual facts (as opposed to made up one by me earlier)

Coutinho has scored the most goals by a Brazilian in the PL - 29, Bobby F has 19.

18 points won from losing positions (not 15)

Fun Bobby has been carded for goal winning celebrations more times than any other player in the top leagues over the last 4 seasons, just as well he isn't a striker.

That was Liverpool's first league win without Sadio Mane in the squad.

Oh yes - EL football is now a certainty at worst

Starting to think Klopp just started Woodburn and TAA so he could bring on Coutinho and Firmino and for once be praised for his subs.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,489 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

Firmino's strike was made with conviction, never held back or eased off power for sake of accuracy, he was very wound up, in a correct way. Fists clinched , eyes focused .

That Firmino goal was Suarez-esque. So glad to have him playing for us.

Still buzzing lads...don't think I've been this happy about a win all season. Daft really cos we've had much better wins but just something about the way we turned it around. The first half was so unbelievably awful I couldn't see any way to turn it around and win.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,929 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

To think we have 2 of front 3 of the best attacking Brazil side in maybe 20 years starting for us every week.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,489 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

    Oopps
    Look at spurs points.

9pts gap on Arsenal and United
We have the points on the board regardless of games in hand.
We have great chance now .

    Where'd your post go,Toby? :D

Did you get the abacus out?
