Place to park a moped near Dublin?

    Hey all,

Mate works in Dublin, but looking to move into a country house (cheaper, and nicer than the place she's in now). She has/will be getting a moped, but her job is a fast food place in Dublin, thus won't have a place to park the bike there.

So, I'm wondering is there a good place to park a moped in or near Dublin (that would be near a bus stop). She works anti-social/weekend hours , and knows that undesirables vandalise bikes that are left in the open at night, thus would prefer somewhere that has 24/7 access.

She'd be coming from the west direction (Maynooth/Leixlip/Celbridge), if that makes any difference.

Can't park a moped beside the work? It's a moped not a lorry, absolutely non existent problem. That's one of the beautiful things about bikes is that you can park almost anywhere, I have seen bikes parked on footpaths the city centre with huge amounts of human traffic. You can literally find any fence/pole or any other object that you can attach it to everywhere, especially in the night where no one will care.

What part of Dublin is she working in?
In most parts a moped will be ignored if its not in the way and locked securely. Should be easy to find a place to park it within easy walk of where she works.

Usually north side city centre, O'Connell Street area.

North Princess St. Off O'Connell St, between the GPO and Pennys has a dedicated motor cycle parking area beside the Dublin Bikes.

On the central median in O'Connell Street opposite whichever outlet they're working in, with a decent lock or preferably two locks. At least then they can keep an eye on it throughout their shift. Complete PITA parking it along the N4 and getting a bus to town.

Grand during the day but I, for one, would not fancy venturing down North Princess Street during anti-social hours.

Note how theres the metal railings for the bikes, and "cyclists"but not a single ground anchor in the motorbike parking zone.

DCC really are a bunch of dumb asses.

Motor powered 2 wheel vehicles do not exist in Ireland, only bicycles and public transport are alternatives, you will never see them advertise motor powered 2 wheel vehicles as an alternative to a 4 wheel motor vehicle.
