Have you worked out if its worth changing your car to save the tax money?

How much would you save each year?
How much would you have to spend to change?

I assume you are changing to a diesel to avail of cheaper tax?
Do you drive the required miles and type of driving that suits diesel?

Work it all out 1st, if you think your Verso is a great car, it might work out better financially to keep it.

would be the new tax bracket so savings there, do plenty of mileage at weekends wife does school runs during the week and maybe a shopping trip. the 2008 c4 would be around 3000 might get 1300 for our own car

what are the c4 picasso like reliability wise?

If you want newer stick with toyota or something reliable. My 1st choice definitely wouldn't be c4.

We have one and a Volvo estate. Personally I don't like the Picasso (1.6d automatic). It hasn't broken but lots of minor issues with central locking and rear lights. If I was doing it again I'd go for a hrv or s max

The hrv would mean more money but might be a much better option
