I'm looking for recommendations for nice, family-friendly hotels in Westport for a 3 night Summer break. Nice food, pool, kids club and maybe something for slightly older kids - ages 11 & 12.

    Thanks in advance.

Hotel Westport would be your best bet.

They have a kids club but not sure if its for older kids

kids club is for 4 -12 so might be a bit old for it. Bust westport house is around the corner from hotel westport.

Not bust anymore. Recently bought by local Westport family. I think Hotel Westport is the leader in family breaks in Westport. Castlecourt is very good also. Westport woods also has a pool and a kids club afaik. The decision is yours.

I stayed in a large hotel in Westport town some years ago in August - raucous singing from the bar every night until 4am...

If youre looking for a family break ask them about this and also if they do weddings. In my experience wedding hotels generally don't care about guests sleep.

its not hard to guess, when the policy of the hotel is too keep serving as long as there is no fighting.

http://www.westportcoasthotel.ie/ is worth considering as well, though it's around a mile outside the town at the quay.

‘Why do you sit out here all alone?’ said Alice…..
‘Why, because there’s nobody with me!’ cried Humpty Dumpty.‘Did you think I didn’t know the answer to that?’

Plenty of great hotels around Westport!

I'd suggest either Hotel Westport or Westport Woods. Both a short stroll from town (no more then 10 minutes) and both with pools.

The CastleCourt is another great hotel but it would be busier wedding wise then the other two, if you were looking for a bit more quiet.

You have the Greenway in town, beaches (Bertra Strand, Old Head, Carrownisky) a short spin out, Westport House and Croagh Patrick as well so plenty of options.

Westport Woods is certainly your best bet. They have lovely grounds, a kids club and its in a perfect location.
