I'm not sure if this is the right forum.

I've moved to a house with dodgy signal and want to check the networks

Am I right in saying we now have only two network operators three/Vodafone and everyone else is piggybacking?

Invite a few mates round that have different mobile operators and handsets, you'll find the Combo that will work/not work for you.

There are 4 physical networks, Three own the old O2 network but they are not merged.

The networks are (piggybacks in brackets):

    Vodafone (Post mobile)
    Three (Virgin, ID)
    Meteor (Eir)
    O2 (Tesco, Lyca) 3G only

You missed 48 and BlueFace among the MVNOs. But basically what TenPin said.
