Given the impending doom of Brexit next month, has anyone prepared any sample answers related to same?

I feel like a question on this could come up in Constitutional / EU ??

    Thanks :)

    Contract

    Hi guys,

Could anyone help me out with the consumer protection directives? Is the Consumer Rights Directive 2011 the same as the Distance Selling Directive? In her reports, the examiner says the distance selling directive has been repealed or replaced so I want to make sure I don't go on about the 2011 one if it's the same thing!

    Thank you :-)

    Any predictions for
    - Tort,
    - Constitution,
    - Criminal, and

I'm of the belief predictions are useless for FE1s.

That said, my own personal prediction for Tort is - Nuisance, General Negligence Q, Negligent Misstatement, Limitations, Vicarious Liability, Occupiers Liability, Nervous Shock and for No. 8 I'm not sure, lets just say Passing Off for the hell of it.

The Distance Selling and Doorstop Selling directives were repealed and superceeded by that directive.

Does anyone need a spare copy of successions act for exam? Have two, can just bring on the day

I had totally forgotten about the legislation until i saw this - so thank you so much!!

I just rang OPW and paid for the two property ones. Just FYI for anyone who hasn't gotten them yet that they told me there's a delay on these two specific ones (prob from FE1 people) so get ordering asap to have time to tab them etc before the exam!

The phone number is 076 1106 834, it was €17 something, and you can pay with card across the phone.

Does anyone know of a website etc that discuss recent developments in law over the past year or so. I bought my manuals/notes over a year ago and they aren't fully up to date so worried incase I'm missing anything. I'm doing EU, property and tort.

I would find it unlikely the would ask anything re Brexit directly. They might mention it in a question like they did in Q1 Oct 2018 EU but I would be surprised if anything comes up directly in relation to it.

Does anyone have any recent-ish EU law exam papers they wouldn't mind sharing? my most recent one is from 2010 and I just would like to know for sure the exam format isn't very different.

Have various materials for all other subjects in exchange if wanted.

    Thanks in advance :)

Think you absolutely could! Doctrines are handy enough and tracing is due a run and is usually a straightforward essay but do think you’re covered

Anyone have a limitation of liability essay they'd like to swap for something?

Would it be possible to get all 8 exams in one sitting? I am off work till next year and was thinking of doing all 8. Am I crazy?

Not sure exactly your time frame. If you are good with dealing with a large workload over a few months you can give it a go. If you are planning to sit 8 in March you'd want to start building a strict plan fairly soon I'd say.

Does anyone have the predictions for property?

Looking to narrow down topics myslef, I had thought of this as one of my easier subjects but its quite technical when trying to learn off.

L&T seems to be due a run along with Easements and reg. of land.
Ud hope to get the 2 succession Qs and then one of Co-ownership and AP

  • Registered Users Posts: 239 ✭✭LawGirl3434

Anyone else finding equity impossible to narrow down? She asks suck specific Qs. Thinking of calling it a day at:

    Strong v bird
    Donatio mortis causa
    Estoppel
    Tracing
    Cy pres
Charitable (only poverty, education, animals and political)
    Trustees duties
    Specific performance
Liability of a stranger/ third party
    3 certainties
    Marevas
    Anton pillar
    Interlocutory injunctions
    Secret trusts
    Presumed resulting trusts
    Automatic resulting trusts
    Constructive (inc new model)

    Would be leaving out:

Maxims, recession, perpetual injunctions, quia timet, rectification, undue influence, unconscionable bargain

    Anyone any thoughts?

Would anyone have sample answers in Constitutional for September 2015? There's a couple of questions that I can't figure out how the issues match the facts! Would really appreciate it and can swap for material in every other subject thank you :-)
