A1 Licence without a motorbike?

    Hi - I need some advice…

My current full Irish driver’s license, valid up to 2024, covers the basics: AM, B, W

I live in Dublin but I’m often in Barcelona where I have access to a 150cc motorbike there.

How can I best get legal (A1 ?) so I can drive the moto in BCN?

I don’t own a motorbike here in Dublin, can I temporarily hire one in Dublin just for the test?

    Thanks.

You can hire an instructors bike for the test.

Don't forget you need to do IBT etc. The instructors will have bikes for that.

Without having a bike to practice on, you will need more lessons to pass the test.

Does A1 cover 150cc? Used to be limited to 125cc.

Get the licence for the biggest bike you're entitled to, just in case.
