Cracking storm with monsoon like rain just passed over near Enfield. Kilcock will have got some show. Have counted 14 rumbles and cracks in the past 10 minutes. Shows up well on radar, if you look around Kilcock.

    Small but very electrified!

Yeah was fantastic. All lightning just to the north west of us. That line of cells coming up from the south Midlands looks exciting. Will be hanging out the window for the evening so.

Storm heading towards Portlaoise looks like it will give lightning over the town shortly

West Laois - most active bit of thunder/lightning here for years, looks like more inbound too in the next few minutes.

Watched that roll about a two miles north of me... counted well over 30 strikes with some impressive C>G strikes. A particular purple fork was amazing to see. Hardly a drop of rain from it, despite the menacing cloud ahead of it that looked like it could drop a twister!

The cell north of Baltinglass has fired up, loads of strikes in the last few minutes. Looks to heading towards Naas/Blesington. Might make it to Dublin.

Seems to be trading intensity for size, hopefully get a few sparks anyway.

EDIT: Hearing first few rumbles now!

Just seen lightning and heard a clap of thunder in the distance, south west from Santry. Looks like a massive storm heading this direction.
