Recent strike near Glencree, I wonder if a storm heads over the Wicklow Mts it could get a lift from the elevation producing plenty of strikes in Dublin / Dalkey / Bray area perhaps.

Lashing rain/hail and lots of thunder and lightening in Terenure at the moment

  • Registered Users Posts: 105 ✭✭Periscal

Hollywood, West Wickow here, can confirm we had plenty of thunder and lightning between 18:45 and 19:10,torrential rain as well, lost power for a second or two when a lightning struck nearby,we must have got a direct hit from that band looking at the development on radar

Nice bit of thunder and lightning in Clondalkin a few minutes ago. It's been a while since we had something like that, however brief. It's gone quiet here now. The heavy rain has stopped.

Recent Strike off the South Coast, winds are southerly, CAPE is good over the sea into the evening, not sure if there will be more.

    Yes it's pouring down

The trip over the Wicklow mountains usually kills them on the way to Dublin

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,677 ✭✭✭Rougies

Well that was some tease. Massive cell getting closer and closer, rumbles in the distance getting louder and louder, then once it sees the m50 it dies. Better than nothing I suppose.
